"The room was spacious and compared to others in Dilijan, affordable. We think this accomodation has a lot of potential, but for us, it was just an ‘okay’ stay. Everything was cleaned, however there was some dust/mould in the bathroom next to the toilet (on what looked like an extractor fan hose for downstairs). The room has a very musty smell and there were some dark patches on the wall that looked like mould/rising damp. The bathroom was completely wet/damp the entire time, to the point where the toilet paper and towels were wet, condensation running down the walls and on the toilet, and pools of water on the floor (from condensation, not from the shower). My razor completely rusted from being in the damp bathroom for only two days! Don’t put any clothes or toiletries bags in the bathroom or they will be wet too. We did flag the issue related to the bathroom to the host, who said it was because of the rainy/humid weather, but really it is also due to poor ventilation. The room was also damp and often we would put on clothes and they felt damp. We would open the windows but it didn’t ease the issue. So perhaps a dehumidifier (either electric or those dehumidifier crystals) would help. The bed was two single beds pushed together, and each bed sank down in the centre - and the pillows were quite flat - so not the most comfortable sleep. There was a fridge and kettle in the room which was good. When we arrived to the accomodation (within the check in time) there was no one available to greet us and it was pouring rain. Apparently the accomodation has some issue with bookings via Trip, so we didn’t get any check in instructions. Whilst the hotel apologised, it wasn’t the best welcome! We aren’t sure what facilities are available as we didn’t get much information from the hotel, but it doesn’t seem to align with the blurb on Trip.com (we don’t think there is a kitchen for guest use, we didn’t get informed of being able to have dinner etc) - but there’s lots of nice cafes and restaurants in Dilijan so that’s no issue for us. The hotel is up steep hills, it is walkable though if you have moderate fitness or a Yandex is affordable. Overall our stay was fine for the price, but we felt like we didn’t get the standard of hospitality described on the Trip ad, and we think the hotel needs to look at damp issues in the room."
