Samal Island ist nur wenige Minuten mit dem Boot von Davao City entfernt. Discovery hat ein eigenes Charter-Schnellboot zum Anwesen. Bei unserer Ankunft wurden wir in die Hauptlobby begleitet. Von der Hauptlobby aus sehen Sie den Strand (weißer Sand, aber nicht so fein). Dort gibt es auch das Restaurant Haribsr und Morning Catch. Dann wurden wir mit Golfwagen zu unserem Schlafzimmer begleitet. Vom Schlafzimmer aus hat man einen Blick auf den olympischen Pool mit Blick auf Davao CITY. Das Anwesen hat auch eine schwimmende Kapelle, ein Kongresszentrum und Villen mit eigenem Pool. Das Schlafzimmer ist groß und hat eine eigene Terrasse. Insgesamt ist das Resort sehr schön. Erst ein Jahr nach der Eröffnung sind die Mitarbeiter sehr nett, zuvorkommend und gut ausgebildet. Besonders zu erwähnen ist einer der Mitarbeiter, der sich um uns gekümmert hat, Sir Ching. Er hat sich besonders viel Mühe gegeben, um uns ein Zimmer mit Kingsize-Bett mit Blick auf den Pool zu finden. Vielen Dank!

From the moment we arrived at Dusit Thani Residence Davao, we felt welcomed and well-taken care of. The lobby, though modest in size, exuded a calm charm and the check-in process was smooth. We were greeted warmly by staff who treated us with genuine hospitality — their attentiveness set the tone for our entire stay. Many previous guests also praised the staff’s politeness and readiness to help.  We stayed in a studio apartment, and it was nothing short of comfortable. The room came with a kitchenette, a coffee/tea maker, minibar, and free WiFi — extremely convenient whether you’re staying briefly or planning a longer stay.  The modern fittings and thoughtful layout made it easy to relax or be productive: there was enough space to move around, and everything was clean and well-kept. Cleanliness, indeed, stood out during our stay — a point frequently echoed by other guests.  One of the highlights was the leisure amenities. We took full advantage of the outdoor swimming pool — a serene little oasis perfect for a morning dip or evening unwind. The fitness centre, spa, and wellness offerings added to the sense of pampering. For those traveling with kids or family, there’s even a kids’ pool and a family-friendly vibe.  Breakfast and dining at the hotel also deserve special mention. The buffet breakfast was generous and satisfying — a great way to start a busy day in Davao. For lunch or dinner, the on-site restaurant served a mix of Thai, Asian, international, and European dishes, giving a variety that could cater to different tastes and dietary preferences.  The presence of a café and even a pastry/deli option made it easy to grab a light meal or snack without leaving the property.  Location is another strong suit for Dusit Thani Residence. It’s conveniently located near the airport, which is a big plus if you have early flights or late arrivals.  At the same time, it’s still close enough to city amenities, shopping, and other attractions — offering both convenience and comfort. Many guests appreciated this balance of accessibility and tranquility.  That said, no stay is perfect, and a few aspects could be improved. Some guests mentioned that certain rooms felt a bit cramped or that balcony areas were under-utilized due to cleanliness concerns.  There were occasional gripes about maintenance — for example, shower drains draining slowly or small furniture quirks — and a few found the elevator access between towers a bit awkward, especially if coming from parking.  A minority even felt the place fell short of 5-star expectations in certain respects.  Still, for us, these were minor blemishes compared to the overall positive experience. What stood out was how the hotel blends comfort, convenience, and courteous service with enough extras to feel like more than just a “place to sleep.” The pool, spa, and kitchen-equipped rooms make it a strong choice for families, couples, business travellers — essentially anyone who values a balance of luxury and practicality. In conclusion: if you’re looking for a stay in Davao that offers more than just four walls — a place that feels both refined and welcoming — Dusit Thani Residence Davao delivers. Our stay at Dusit Thani Lubi Plantation in Davao was truly a memorable family experience and exactly what you would expect from a high-end 5-star resort. From the moment we arrived, everything felt seamless and well thought out for both adults and kids. The resort itself is stunning, with beautiful swimming pools, pristine beachfront, and a wide range of water and land activities that kept the whole family entertained throughout our stay. Dining was a highlight. Every meal was consistently excellent, and having an onsite Starbucks was a great bonus for those quick coffee breaks in between activities. Breakfast each morning was especially impressive — a fantastic spread with high quality options that set the tone for the day. What truly made the experience stand out, however, was the team. Special thanks to Joshua and Clarise — with Clarise showing excellent management in complicated situations — as well as Dominic and Ralphe, for their outstanding service and genuine hospitality. They went above and beyond to make sure our stay was smooth, enjoyable, and complete. This is a place that delivers on both luxury and warmth — perfect for families looking for a relaxing yet engaging getaway. We will definitely be back in September.

Pearl Farm ist wie ein Paradies. Alles ist angenehm für die Augen und den Tummy! Lechon ist jeden Abend verfügbar. Personal ist sehr freundlich, freundlich und schnell, um auf jeden Antrag zu antworten. Meine einzige Beschwerde ist ihre sozialen Medien, Telefon- und E-Mail-Antworten. Sie reagieren sehr langsam oder gar nicht. 1. Ich bat um eine Übertragung von Discovery Samal Welcome Center auf ihre Marina Wharf. Sie sagten, sie werden einen Wagen um 1:00 Uhr schicken, aber es gab keine. Ich folgte durch Reise dot com Nachrichten, keine Antwort. Ich rief ihre Mobilnummer, abgelehnt! Weißt du, sie antworteten, sie waren in Mittagessenpause! Wir waren in Eile, weil wir vor 2pm in ihrem Wharf sein müssen, nach ihrer Anweisung. Nichts. Gutes konnten wir uns von Discovery Samal Mitarbeiter zu Marina Wharf fragen. 2. Bootstransfer von Werf nach Resort wurde aufgrund großer Wellen abgesagt. Ich verstehe. Wir wurden gesagt, wir werden durch Land reisen. Wir fahren einen Wagen, geführt, um über RORO (ja, die Schiffstransfer) zu übertragen, die uns 2 frische Stunden nur für Bahnen!! Und eine weitere Stunde zum Resort. Wir reisen für 3 Stunden nur zum Resort. Wir haben mit anderen RORO-Fahrgästen - mit und ohne Fahrzeuge - in Verbindung gebracht. Wir bleiben in einem 5-Sterne-Resort, aber sie können etwas tun, um die Warte-/Bekleidung im RORO etwas schneller zu machen?? Ich sah den Fahrer zahlen 20/passenger für das Fahren des RORO (nicht überprüft). Kann das Resort ein wenig extra für eine schnelle Strecke oder so etwas bezahlen? Idk! Nur rly enttäuscht bcos wir reisen mit einem 3-jährigen Alter! Natürlich habe ich ihnen über diese THRU E-Mail und ja, sie KEINE WEITERE SICHT. Ich wollte sie 5 Sternen bewerten, aber ihre Kommunikation mit den Gästen ist so schlecht. Ich habe in einem Hotel gearbeitet und jede Nachricht von den Gästen wird sehr ernst genommen.

Wir hatten zwei Tage lang weder WLAN noch Fernsehempfang, und die Klimaanlage tropfte. Wir haben bereits mehrmals einen Techniker gerufen. Auch an der Rezeption konnten wir uns nicht helfen lassen, aber man sagte uns lediglich, dass es keinen Empfang gäbe. Das war sehr ärgerlich, da wir den bezahlten Komfort und Internetzugang nicht nutzen konnten. Ich hoffe, dass diese Bewertung dazu beiträgt, dass das Hotel künftig besser auf die Anliegen seiner Kunden eingeht.

Ich habe dieses Hotel für meine Tante gebucht, die in die USA zurückkehrte, und für meine Mutter, und ich bin etwas verlegen über ihre Bewertung ihrer Erfahrung. Erstens wurde mir, obwohl ich ausdrücklich nach einem Deluxe-Zweibettzimmer gefragt hatte, stattdessen ein Doppelzimmer gegeben. Außerdem war die Klimaanlage kaputt, sodass meine Tante an ihrem letzten Tag auf den Philippinen wie verrückt schwitzte. Sie erwähnten zwar, dass das Hotel sauber war und das Äußere hübsch aussah, aber das war auch schon alles, was sie feststellen konnten.

Das WLAN ist extrem langsam. Ich habe schon mehrmals angerufen, warum es so langsam ist, da ich arbeite. Ich habe zwar eine andere Verbindung bekommen, aber die ist leider auch viel zu langsam! Es gibt zwar eine Klimaanlage, aber die kühlt einfach nicht, egal wie man sie einstellt!

Lovely experience. Still not bad considering they are renovating some parts of the hotel. SM Lanang is closeby. Airport is only about 8mins drive. Lots of food options outside and massage is within reach Thai Boran.

Comfortable and spacious room. Clean and well-maintained facilities. Good breakfast. Consistent with the standard quality and service of the Dusit brand. Overall, a pleasant and comfortable stay.

I like the standard room, it' s good for 2 persons although the leg room is quite limited but over all it is ok. The place is serene and calm, it is ideal for middle aged and persons who like a quiet place to stay. And to top it all, there is a huge park outside where you can jog early in the morning or in the afternoon. I like the experience
