Tolle Lage, saubere und gemütliche Zimmer, tägliche Reinigung, warme Decken, saubere und bequeme Bettwäsche, abwechslungsreiches und reichhaltiges Frühstück, sehr aufmerksames und höfliches Hotelpersonal. Absolut empfehlenswert! Wir kommen wieder.

Am heutigen Tag habe ich mich beim Hotel Shanker anmelden gewählt.
Der warme Service, leckere Lebensmittel und Qualitätsumfeld, alles ist so gut.
Das Hotel bereitet Dekorationen und Kuchen sehr gedanklich vor, überrascht uns.
Aufgrund der späten Ankunftszeit hat das Hotel mir auch den Abendessen bestellt, so dass es sich bei unserer Ankunft genießen konnte.
Schließlich das Essen auferwartet lecker.
Ich empfehle Ihnen, das Shanker Hotel zu wählen.
Wo immer es sich um einen Urlaub oder eine Feier handelt, ist es die beste Wahl.

Ein schönes Hotel, nur wenige Gehminuten vom Zentrum von Thamel entfernt. Das Personal war freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück war sehr gut. Der Fitnessraum ist klein, bietet aber einen schönen Blick über Kathmandu. Das Hotel ist erstaunlich ruhig, wenn man bedenkt, wie laut die Umgebung ist. Ich kann dieses Hotel empfehlen.

Sehr freundliches und aufmerksames Personal. Spricht sehr gut Englisch.
Im 1. Obergeschoss bedindet sich ein Chinesisches Restaurant.
Ich habe 2 Sachen bestellt. Das gebrachte Essen war ausgezeichnet und nicht ueberwuertzt. Es war so reichlich, dass ich nicht alles essen konnte, obwohl ich eigentlich ein guter Esser bin, und aucg grissen Appetit hatte.
Was mir im Hotel fehlte war ein kleiner Arbeitstisch und ein Stuhl. Ich habe mich aber problemlos damit abgefunden, weil ich jeweils meine Arbeit in der Cafeeteria - mit ausgezeichnetem Kaffee - erledigt haben.
Ob es (groessere) Zimmer mit Tisch und Stuhl gibt, entzieht sich meiner Kenntniss.

GGastnutzerThe room made a decent first impression and did the bare minimum. But, it quickly became clear that it’s best suited for a very short stay. The bed was comfortable enough. Overall, the room is fine if you’re just passing through, but anything longer starts to feel like stretching it.
Staff presence around the hotel was limited. They clearly run on a lean operation, which can go either way. The guard in front of the elevator stood out in the best possible way and added a genuinely warm, human touch, which helped balance things out.
At check-in, I was given two complimentary cocktail coupons for the upstairs bar, which immediately lifted my spirits. This was a place I had enjoyed many times before and often recommended to friends and family. I had good memories of the atmosphere, the food, and the general vibe, so I went in with high hopes. In the past I had written raving 5-star reviews of their restaurant food and amazing service!
Unfortunately, the experience that followed didn’t live up to those expectations. What should have been a simple, enjoyable night out unraveled into confusion and unwelcoming interactions. Small moments piled up, the mood shifted, and it became clear that the experience had gone off the rails. Rather than force it, my group and I decided to take our time and money elsewhere. Sometimes you read the room and move on.
I returned to the hotel later that night and stayed over. Took a hot shower in the morning, loved the smell of their body wash, btw!
Another brief interaction during checkout reinforced the same theme: rigid, abrupt, and lacking the kind of hospitality that makes guests feel welcome.
All in all, it’s disappointing to see a place I once enjoyed and freely recommended lose its consistency and warmth. I’m no longer comfortable recommending it, and I’m not sure I would choose to return.
As for the unused cocktail coupon, I still have it. Any takers?

BBikal89We had a lovely short stay in Aarya. Starting off with convenience: by being transported by the vehicle arranged by the hotel from the Intl Airport at no extra cost. This was a lovely touch by the hotel as sometimes travellers may want to avoid the hassle of negotiating with taxi drivers and firms. Then being greeted by the wonderful staff at the reception with khada & a glass of refreshing drink. The check in was smooth and seamless. The hotel itself was remarkably decorated to a classic Nepali ‘Newari’ culture which was very impressive. Located in the heart of Thamel, but slightly away from the drawing music & hustle and bustle of the streets to provide a peaceful and quiet atmosphere that we certainly needed after a long flight. Our room was spacious and kitted out with all the amenities and not forgetting, wonderfully decorated again. The facilities provided in the Hotel, from the Gym to the swimming pool was again impressive considering we were in the heart of Thamel. I particularly enjoyed the view of Sundhara Dharahara and SkyWalk tower whilst running on Treadmill and going for a swim and also the view of Swayambhu whilst doing weights in the Gym. The Sora restaurant at the top floor provided us a majestic view of the city whilst dining both during dinner and breakfast. The glass floor at the dining area was also something unique at the hotel which we have not seen in Nepal. Food was of the highest quality, and we were thoroughly satisfied with dinner and particularly the wide range of options available on the breakfast buffet, from nepali classics such as Sel Roti and Puri to modern cuisine such as Masala Omelette and Sausage & Bacon. Truly a stay to remember and we have already recommended it to our friends and family and will definitely come back to stay here again!! Thank you to all the staff at the hotel for their warmth hospitality & comfort during our stay.

BBernard VoonDas Hotel liegt direkt hinter dem Dreams Garden. Nur einen kurzen Spaziergang zum besetzten Thamel-Bereich. Die Nachbarschaft hat Komfortgeschäfte, Cafés, Essen und Apotheke.
Das Zimmer ist ziemlich klein, aber es ist ok für einen kurzen Aufenthalt. Das Bett war nicht so komfortabel wie andere Hotels, die ich geblieben habe. Sehr grundlegende Fitnessanlage im Hotel, wünschen Sie, dass sie den Fitnessraum größere und besser ausgestattet machen.
Das Frühstücksbuffet ist gut genug für einige Brennstoffe, bevor wir gehen zu erkunden. Omelette könnte sicher verbessert werden, aber ich mag die Pilze und Bacon mit meiner Omelette. Sie haben auch eine Suppestation, die Sie wählen können, was Sie in Ihre Suppe gehen wollen. Die Sojalatte wurde schön gemacht. Einige Tage servieren sie den Schokoladekuchen, die ein Muss zu versuchen.
Das Personal ist sehr gut ausgebildet und spricht gut Englisch. Ich würde Ihnen sicher empfehlen, hier für den Preis für Geld, fantastische Lage und gute Gastfreundschaft zu bleiben.

MMatthew1122Die Hotelflächen sind schön und der Service sowie das Essen ist ausgezeichnet. Die Zimmer sind jedoch sehr alt und klein (nachdem wir dies mit der Rezeption verändert haben konnten). Die Lage ist in Thamel und das Eingehen in die Nähe Attraktionen ist bequem

The room was clean and big enough for 2 pax. I like the balcony where i could just sit to take in the views and gaze at the stars at night. Bathroom was impeccably clean and the towels are really good.
I participated in their morning hike organized by the hotel. The 1 hour i wished would lasted longer. We got a glimpse of the life around Nagarkot with amazing vistas.
I must commend all the staffs at the hotel. Top notch service from everyone. With smile and very friendly. Special mention of Binod who has been very attentive in his service.

很多中國人到其他地方找中餐吃，結果發現最正宗的中餐在酒店樓上九層。而且這裏的巧克力布朗尼，非常正宗。原本應該是和冰淇淋一起吃，我提出來要吃熱的，酒店立即做了熱呼呼的冰激凌。酒店旁邊有個加德滿都最大的農貿市場，6個大蘋果，衹要不到20元人民幣。這裏什麼蔬菜水果都能買到。
因為加德滿都經常堵車，如果銜接航班，酒店離機場很近，這又是一大優勢。

GGastnutzerIch blieb insgesamt fünf Nächte. Ich war von der Reise zu müde, um das Hotel zu wechseln, aber das Hotel war voller Enttäuschungen.
Ich kaufte in der Lobby einen Kuchen, der drei- bis fünfmal teurer war als die frischen Kuchen draußen. Ich wusste nicht, wie lange er schon da war, als ich ihn aß. Ich schätze, es war mindestens eine Woche. Nach Rücksprache mit dem Restaurant scheiterte ich. Nach einer erneuten Kontaktaufnahme durch Ctrip entschuldigte man sich und zahlte den Schaden.
Das Personal hielt mich wegen eines Fehlers an der Tür zum Frühstück auf. Nach nochmaliger Überprüfung kam nicht einmal eine Entschuldigung.
Nach dem Auschecken aß ich im Restaurant und bestellte die Pasta, die ich zuvor bestellt hatte, aber sie roch nach Spülwasser oder Lappen.
Das einzig Positive ist der Service des Personals. Kathmandu und das Hotel insgesamt sind nicht zufriedenstellend.

The Air is much cleaner at these heights. A lovely view to be seen from the roof top upon the city down below. There is a room up there, for yoga, for exercise, or meditation. An elevator takes you there, but you can climb the stairs, if you wish, especially to prepare for a mountain trek – there is an ample storage room in that regard. Boudha Apart is owned by a Sherpa family, originally from Lukla, so there are many good contacts with the high mountain community.
The hotel is fairly new, and that means nothing is broken. That is to say also, that it is well maintained, that the guests are not a rowdy sort, and they are mindful of each other's tranquility. The rooms are well thought out, and many have a sun facing balcony. Both sink and shower have abundant hot water, adjustable as you like. On the ground floor is a large restaurant, with a diverse menu of local cuisine, and western comfort foods. The basement is a parking garage for cars and bikes. The staff is of good cheer, and supportive of your adventures and plans. They, most conveniently, pick up and deliver to the airport. There is also a car and driver for various tours, as you will.
And finally to say, the price to value is most fair, as one compares to other hotels in the region.
