Das Hotel war in Ordnung. Das Bett war für westliche Verhältnisse etwas hart, aber alles war sehr sauber. Ich kann gar nicht genug Gutes über Herrn Micheal Chen sagen, dessen Englisch außergewöhnlich und seine Höflichkeit unglaublich waren. Er half uns sogar, unsere Fährtickets nach Gulangyu zu buchen! Wenn Sie ihn treffen, fragen Sie nach Fawlty Towers! 🤣 Das Gleiche kann man von einer Dame, die am Frühstücksbuffet arbeitete, nicht sagen. Ich bekam einen Teller Brot zum Teilen und mir wurde gesagt, wenn ich Brot so sehr mag, dann verkaufen sie es!!!! Es kam mir so vor, als würde sie uns jedes Mal mustern, wenn wir etwas essen gingen. Ich bezweifle, dass sie das zu irgendjemandem mit einem Teller voller Knödel sagte. Wir fühlten uns jedes Mal unwohl, wenn wir danach zum Frühstück gingen, und das ist kein Zeichen für ein gutes Hotel. Ich werde nicht nach Xiamen zurückkehren, aber wegen ihr würde ich, wenn ich es täte, ein anderes Hotel wählen.

The hotel is located fairly centrally in the island of Pingtan in a small village. Its exterior is nicely decorated with lights, and if you arrive late at night like we did, you’ll thank for that, as it shines like a beacon in a otherwise not very well lit street. The service shone from the beginning. One of the staff was ready to help us with our luggage and show us in, and there was no delay with the registration of my passport (something that as any foreigner that has travelled in the Chinese Mainland will be able to tell, is not something to take for granted), and was immediately added to WeChat, where through the entire trip I was kept updated on everything relevant to us as guests, from the time breakfast was ready, to the fact that a guest with a dog was going to stay in a room next to ours (to which they offered to change if we needed in case any of us was scared or allergic to dogs). Breakfast was always kept warm for us, even when we were coming down late and were not expecting it to be there, and in general the staff’s attitude was always what you would expect in a bigger, more established (and more expensive) hotel, but with a home-stay twist. The hotel is not very close to any scenic spot or touristic destination, but they offer a service of e-bike rental that we used through the trip, and that we’d recommend to anybody is staying here as it took transportation off the list of things we had to think about, and allowed us to fully take advantage of the central location of the inn. With 2 people per bike, going very far North, or South to the city (sometimes both in one trip), we never ran too close to empty our batteries. The room was clean, big enough, and as we were staying on the last floor and our door opened to a patio, very well ventilated. The patio also proved to be a nice place to sit and chill or eat, and I was able to make work I had to finish feel less of a sore in the middle of my holidays. The only things I’d add or change to the room experience are a place to hang clothes (there wasn’t any closet or the sort), the toilet paper (they offered tissues but they don’t feel the same when you want to, you know, keep your hands clean), and real towels (they offer disposable towels, but they’re just not the same). In conclusion, not only I would come back but I most certainly will, as I had an amazing trip and this inn played no small part in it. Would 100% recommend if you like less noisy, more home stay-ey atmosphere, and don’t mind to be a few minutes drive from the city.

Really grateful for the free airport pickup. Added their number to my wechat and called them using wechat. Was given directions where to be picked up and asked to send a picture of how I look like. waited at the pickup point and even message them at exactly which location I'm at. Received a call later to ask where am I and also messaged me the car plate number. As the pickup point only allow 8mins of wait time, the driver was pretty pissed when I arrived. I mean, couldn't you have sent a picture of the car and the car plate number earlier? Driver was smoking all the way while driving and I'm unfortunately seated behind him, breathing in all his smelly smoke. He opened his window but that didn't help, the wind has kept blowing the smoke into my face. Luckily it was a short drive. I feel that the hotel should educate their drivers not to smoke while driving. This is so selfish. I got upgraded to a bigger room because they wanted me to give a good review. My room has a big window with the street view. Room was clean and nice. Slippers given. Toilet was badly designed. the shower head faces the toilet bowl and the sewage system is not good. After showering, the toilet flooded. I only realised the next morning that there are some buttons that you can switch on for ventilation in the toilet. The toilet was still flooded in the morning but I think if I have known about the buttons earlier, it would have been dried in the morning. The buttons are in chinese characters. Ask for help to decipher them. The room has a projector but nothing was watchable. You need to have accounts to sign on to their various content provider. The hotel is near a small street market with awesome and cheap food. There was also some supermarkets opened late into the night. Cannot expect much from sound proofing as dead into the night, you can still hear food delivery rider delivering their food to occupants. The driver in the morning did not smoke but when I told him that nobody asked me which terminal I'm going to, he insisted that it is impossible for them not to ask. I also cannot be bothered to argue. Why would I sabotage my own departure plans? Suggest that before the driver drives off, stressed which terminal you are going to. Terminal 3 for International flights, Terminal 4 for domestic flights. And they are not close to one another apparently. Otherwise, the bed was quite comfy. The socket above the bedside table is almost falling off the wall.

Ich war mit meinen Eltern in dieser Gastfamilie in Fuzhou. Meine Eltern äußerten sich zufrieden und wollten gar nicht mehr gehen. Es ist sehr ruhig und das Bett ist bequem. Wir bekamen ein Familienzimmer, oben und unten zusammen, und meine Eltern hatten überhaupt nichts dagegen. Stattdessen fühle ich mich sehr glücklich. Die Gastfamilie befindet sich unten in einem Einkaufszentrum. Sie können mit der U-Bahn direkt nach Shangxiahang, Three Lanes und Seven Alleys fahren und es gibt viele Orte zum Essen und Einkaufen.

18/12/24 -22/12/24, we stayed 4 nights at Swiss Grand hotel  Xiamen, breakfast was delicious and plenty of choices 👍, rooms are clean, housekeeping is great 😊, the only set back is the aircon system, not adjustable, very cold setting for winter weather, asked house keeper to adjust but  failed, end up with additional  heater in our room 😥😥😥otherwise it would be a perfectly good hotel to stay.

Amazing facilities , they build this place with touch of warm heart , serve with love and hosted with generosity. I should say this is a boutique hotel quality. I was a female solo traveler that never been to china before and doesn’t speak the local language and I was so blessed that I booked this place , the owner Lily is speaking good english and she is go above and beyond to help n accommodate my stay beautifully . She help with my itinerary and she even being my go to call when I need help with translate. The sisters ( that is the receptionist ladies ) is also eager to please with anything that we need, truly there is no other place to stay is better in the area if you are looking for a great place to stay , served with warm heart and many upgraded for free. I am definitely suggest this place when you are visiting wuyishan. Thank you dear beautiful ladies team of Dafangju 🫶🏻❤️👏🏻

We stayed in Floral Luxury.1949 Guesthouse for 1 night. We booked Mufan room located on the ground floor as i am travelling with my elderly mom and carrying heavy luggage bags. The guesthouse butler will contact you the night before your arrival to add them to Wechat for easy communication. They will share their hotel location and offer pick-up service at the train station if required. Access to Yunshuiyao town is RMB90 perpax and free for those aged above 65 years old. Yunshuiyao is a scenic town area with 3 km long (2 - 3 hours walk). We hired a chinese speaking guide to accompany us to explain the history of Huaiyan building (square tulou), Hegui building (round tulou), and the town area. It cost RMB100. The guesthouse is located inside Yunshuiyao town, behind the shop houses, in-between waterwheel and 2 trees (named as husband and wife) aged above 670 years old. When we reached there at 2.30 pm, it was raining. The hotel staff immediately came out with an umbrella to pick us up and assist with the luggage. The check-in is fast, and the access to the room is by password, which they will share in Wechat. Checkout is also very easy. The hotel offered free fruits twice a day, afternoon and evening. The basic bathroom essentials are complete, and they also provide bathrobes. The bed and pillows are very comfortable for a good night sleep. Luckily the aircond can change to warm mode as it was very cold on raining day. There's a mini kids playground for children's. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast set come with porridge and soya drink. Can topup if needed more. The in-house restaurant provides lunch & dinner with a la carte chinese foods menu. The sky brightens at 5 am, while the sun rises high at 6.45am. If you are able to wake up early, this is the best time for you to revisit the town and tulou surrounding area for nice photos and cool breeze as only local people around. There's a roadside stall selling super long youtiao (equal to size of 2 youtiao) located near the stone bridge not far from guesthouse. The whole Yunshuiyao town is covered with natural peebles pathway. Wear suitable shoes as it will be very slippery during the rainy day.

Das Zimmer ist besser als ich dachte, 45 Quadrate, sehr komfortabel, die Rezeption hat die Lake Landschaftsräume auf den neuesten Stand gebracht, die Raumordnung ist vernünftig, der Fernseher etwa 65 Zoll, kann man schermieren, Roboter schicken, umgeben weniger essen und trinken, Aber der kleine weiße Wagen hat einen Ruhepunkt an der Tür, basierend auf dem Ruhestand, gehen Sie zu einigen berühmten Weißen Wagen, basierend auf 15 Minuten, halten Sie sich in den Kupon für den Käse, liefern Sie aus dem Laden Wasser für die Minen, und die Rezeption hat Kaffeezucker. Das Frühstück ist mit Gesichtsschmetterungen, voll Kuchen und Pfeffersuppe, diese Fujian-Berühmtheiten, der Geschmack ist noch gut, nicht viele Sorten, aber es kann Tee essen. Die Zahngeräte sind zu einfach, um Angst vor dem Bruch zu haben. Kann das Fett in eine Handwaschmittel umgewandelt werden, um hygienischer zu sein?

This is the our first visit to Fuzhou. I traveled with my husband and my mum. I booked 4 different hotels for a total of 9 nights in Fuzhou. Narada is the second hotel. We stayed for two nights at the private hot spring wing. Was given free upgrade upon checking in. We were then driven to our rooms by the lovely front desk lady, Xiao Li (前台小李). She is very professional, super helpful as the moment we got out of the cab, she carried all our baggages. Throughout our trip, she is always there to answer all our questions and is very warm and personable. The next morning, we then called the front desk for the buggy to pick us up to the main hotel side for breakfast. The spread is very good with both Chinese and Western cuisine. The chefs are very nice and approachable. I want to take this chance to thank the restaurant waitress, Chen Hong (陈虹). Every morning we were greeted by her superb service. She shared with us about the culture, food and places to go in Fuzhou. She really go out of the way to make us feel welcomed. Checking out was a breeze too. We just called the front desk and leave our keys in the room and head off. We then made our way to next hotel nearer to the city centre. We were shocked by the condition as the surroundings and the exterior of the hotel looked so rundown and dirty. We then decide to go back to Narada. We were again served by Xiao Li (前台小李). The moment she saw us, she immediately came to us asking if there’s anything she can help us with. We told her about our horrific encounter at the other hotel and she helped us arrange for 2 rooms at the main hotel side. She even brought us up to see the rooms before committing the stay. We also met Chen Hong (陈虹) while waiting for the rooms, she was empathic and recommended other local places and events. We were so impressed by the rooms, the hospitality and the impeccable service by Xiao Li (前台小李) and Chen Hong (西餐厅陈虹) that we decided not to move in to the city centre and stayed here for 7 more nights before our flight back to Singapore. Big thumbs up to Narada Resort & Spa, Shoukai, Fuzhou. The people there are truly amazing. Thank you very much!
