This was genuinely a wonderful and most special place. The Rocksalt Rooms are in a separate building to the Restaurant - but you check in at the latter and walk you over. Note all the streets here are cobbled, which can be slippery when wet. They are a real BoltHole as they are described, and there are only four total. 2 on 1st floor, 2 on 2nd floor, with one per floor harbour facing. I'd definitely suggest that the upgrade is worth it. The rooms are compact but exceptionally well presented. I've odd little niggles, theres no bedside of any kind - floating shelf would work, where do you put your mobile? And the metal bed frame is ornate and was loose on the footboard. The biggest challenge is where to put things. There are a few hangers on the back of the door and a small set of hooks, but not a drawer or proper place at all. I get space is a real premium here - bedside with 2 drawers all you need! The wet room is compact as everyone says. You won't keep the floor area outside the shower dry, it's not possible. The sink is a corner one with no space to place things but there is shelf in the bathroom for all your luxuries. The body wash / conditioner / hand soap / hand moisturiser are great quality. Noise - it's by the Harbour so they start early, but for us it was part of the charm of the location, the fresh fish smell was totally incredible. Breakfast is not to be missed, across in the restaurant with the best view, it's harbour side. Loved the granola, yoghurt, compote starter. I had English Breakfast as I was hungry, it was great quality but disappoining - it was more style over substance. The bacon is cooked to crispy, not my style at all but great quality. He had the Salmon & Eggs and it won hands down. Local, fresh, decent portion, on wonderful Sourdough. Luckily I was saved a bite. A point or two more - the bedside light fused the circuit and the room was plunged into darkness. Looked for fuse box, could not find. Ended up in Restsurant. They had to get keys to a location they used to own but don't now (ground floor of the Rooms building). This took a while as the keys had to be obtained. I get how this used to work, but not now - the fuse box needs moving. The if we cant fix option was check out and refund - erm no!! There is the most incredible Team member behind the Bar/ Restaurant from Bulgaria whose name I have really tsckily forgotten. For which I apologise. She is truly wonderful and made the visit for me, id return solely to see her again!!! Overall we loved Rocksalt Rooms and would return, to have dinner in the restaurant too! I really had a pleasant stay. Everything about the hotel was relaxing and although I didn’t sleep well (due to being in a different bed to my own) there was nothing I could complain about. Staff were great, breakfast was ok (selection of cooked breakfast, pastries, toast,cereals & fruit) and you’re greeted with that famous cookie! :)

I had a pleasant stay at the hotel overall. The service was friendly and attentive, with staff always willing to help. The facilities were clean, well-maintained, and comfortable, which made the stay relaxing. I also enjoyed the food — there was a good variety, and everything tasted fresh. Overall, it was a great experience and I would definitely consider staying here again.

Großer Preis für Geld. Das Hotel wurde für einen schnellen Halt vor der Reise verwendet. Großes Zimmer, ein wenig altmodisch, aber kein Problem zum Preis, den wir gezahlt haben, zu erwarten. Alles im Zimmer, was notwendig war und sehr sauber. Kein Aufzug zum zweiten Stock so ein wenig schwierig mit schwerem Gepäck, aber wir haben es geschafft. Würde wieder bleiben, wenn in der gleichen Situation.

Meine Frau und ich blieben drei Nächte lang, um unsere Geburtstagsfeier zu feiern. Unser Aufenthalt war außergewöhnlich und vor allem alle Mitarbeiter, die nicht genug für uns und mit einem Lächeln und guten Humor tun konnten. Der Service war auf dem Platz wie das Essen im Restaurant, wir essen dort alle drei Nächte und genossen Top-Küche, Wein und Bier. Ein besonderer Hinweis war die 'Happy Anniversary' Schlauch mit ein paar Coconut-Eissüße! Die Frühstücksbuffets waren schön vorgestellt und perfekt gekocht, obwohl wir den Bacon nur etwas hart, aber völlig ätbar gefunden haben. Superb gepflückte Eier! Als Kommentar frische Fische wären ein schönes Zuschlag beim Frühstück gewesen, obwohl Rauchlachs verfügbar war. Das Bett war sehr komfortabel und das Zimmer ohne Spott und mit den meisten Einrichtungen man erwartet. Es wäre hilfreich gewesen, einen nicht-slip-Mat zu haben Für das Bad sowie eine Griffhandle für die Sicherheit. Auch Seifen-Versorger neben der Dusche wären hilfreich gewesen. Da der Sommer extrem heiß ist (2026) Klimaanlage war sehr willkommen! Die Spa-Anlagen waren auch schön!

Perfect sized room, lovely set up, the hotel itself is huge and so well presented. Gorgeous swimming pool. Lots of places to sit down and eat if you would like too. There is a gym and a spa also (we didn't use these but we know they are there) there are phones in the rooms so you can order room service if you wish. The staff knocked on our door on the second evening and asked if we would like any refills on teabags coffee or sugar or any fresh towels. So well mannered and polite. Just an over all lovely place to go and its literally beside Brands Hatch where we needed to be. Cannot fault this place..

Insgesamt waren wir von unserem Aufenthalt angenehm überrascht, da es unser erster Aufenthalt in dieser Hotelkette war. Die Lage war praktisch, direkt neben der A2, aber dennoch ruhig in unserem Hotel. Das Zimmer war sehr groß, der Kundenservice war großartig und das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis war so viel besser als bei den etablierteren Ketten. Es gibt auch einen unabhängigen Kaffeestand nur einen kurzen Spaziergang vom Hotel entfernt. Er heißt Grounded Coffee und wir empfehlen einen Besuch. Ein sehr empfehlenswertes Hotel.

Wir reservierten dieses Hotel für Lage und Spa. Das Hotel war schön, aber das Spa war schmutzig und fehlte an Spa-Erfahrungseinrichtungen. Ich denke, das sollte als Hotel mit einem Pool verkauft werden. Enttäuschende Spa-Erfahrung für ein 4* Hotel und das Gefühl, dass dieses Hotel die Werbung fehlt. Der Shutter zum Spa war vor 6:00 Uhr am Valentinstag hinunter. Beim Einchecken wurde gesagt, dass Sie Handtücher und Kleider im Spa bekommen und der letzte Eingang ins Spa war 8:30 Uhr. Als wir an die Spa-Rezeption kamen, wurden wir nur ein Handtuch gegeben und die Kleider wurden nur für Gäste auf einem Spa-Paket gesagt, im Widerspruch zu dem, was wir bei der Eincheckung im Hotel erzählt wurden. Die Pool-Bereich und die wechselnden Zimmer waren sehr schmutzig. Die Pool-Seitendusche waren aus der Ordnung und sahen aus, als wären sie schon eine Weile gewesen. Das Gebiet, in dem der Jacuzzi gewöhnlich aufgebaut wurde, sah aus wie es schon lange war. Der Pool war kalt und auch schmutzig.

The hotel is a bit dated but for the price we paid, it was good value. In terms of location, it was great for us as we were guests at a wedding at Leeds Castle and this hotel was literally around the corner. Staff were friendly and helpful. We did not use the leisure centre, but was told by family that it was really nice, especially the swimming pool. Regarding the room, as soon as you walk in you can smell the drains in the bathroom which is by the door but it's not that bad that you can smell it in the room. We had a family room which was large and had a king and two singles. The room was ok regarding cleanliness, some missed areas and dead insects which may have flown in through the big windows. Breakfast was nice with a decent selection of food and good choice of drinks which was needed after a hot weekend. Overall we are pleased with our stay and would recommend it.

Das Hotel ist ein wunderschönes Hotel mit extrem geräumigen Zimmern und en Suiten. Das Orangerie Essenszimmer hat einen wunderschönen Blick auf die friedlichen Erdbeben. Obwohl wir dort nichts zu Abendessen hatten, genossen wir das Frühstück. Das Personal war sehr gut mit unserem erfreulichen kleinen Sohn/Oma 10-Monats-Neuling und verdient Lob für ihre Gastfreundschaft. Wir waren dort für eine Hochzeit im nahe gelegenen Beacon Hotel (vier Minuten Fahrt oder 20 Mini-Wandern mit einem Slam) so war es unglaublich bequem. Als Spa-Hotel, fühlte ich mich gezwungen (!) eine wunderbare Massage, die trotz £110 gut wert war! Ein 20-minütiger Spaziergang führt Sie zum charmanten Pantilen-Bereich von Tonbridge Wells, das viele Mahlzeiten hatte und sehr ungewöhnlich war - ziemlich unerwartet. Alles über das Hotel war sehr wertvoll. Es könnte mit etwas Aktualisierung in Dekor, aber ich würde nicht zögern, dort wieder zu bleiben.
