This was my first time staying at a Mercure hotel and I was not disappointed. This new hotel opened in April. I usually stay at less expensive hotels but I was attending a festival at Luogang Central Park and wanted to find accommodations nearby. It was a short walk from the hotel door to the festival gates. I could see the stages from my room. The service at the hotel was the best that I have ever encountered. I was immediately greeted by the guest services agents. Sally, the front office manager, assisted me as I checked in. She speaks excellent English. Sally assisted me by entering the hotel address and room number into *******. The food was delivered to my room by robot. Sally and the staff at the front desk made sure that everything about my stay was as perfect as it could be. On day two, I ordered ******* again. The food never arrived. As I do not know any Chinese, Sally helped me by talking to the vendor and delivery driver. She spent two days (even after I had checked out and gone home) to make sure that I got a full refund from *******. For some reason, I could not rent a phone charger from the machine in the lobby (that is a problem on my end not a problem with the machine). One of the guest services agents on duty rented the charger for me and I paid her when I returned the charger. My room was beautiful! I had a corner room with windows on two sides. I enjoyed a long soak in the tub each day. The toilet came with a remote control that I translated. There were a few minor things about the room that could be improved. 1. The refrigerator was stocked with free beverages. However, there were no sugar free sodas. The water bottles are smaller than what I am used to and there were only two bottles of regular drinking water in the room. The maid and front desk were happy to supply me with more when asked. 2. The telephone sits on the bedside table that is in the far corner of the room. You have to walk around the bed to reach it. The phone would be more accessible on the side of the bed closer to the sitting area. I don't usually use the hotel phone but you do get a call when the robot comes to your door. 3. To open and close the curtains, you press the button next to the bed. The corner room has large windows on both walls. There is no way to only open the curtain on one side of the room. The morning sun was too strong from one window so I used a chair to prop open the curtains on the other window. 4. There is a lack of foreign programming on the television. Other hotel chains that I use have a free English movie station like HBO or Cine-Max. I travel with a USB stick that has some movies saved on it in case the hotel does not offer such programming. However, the original TV remote is not supplied in the room and there is no way to change the TV input from their satellite box to the USB port. I did not have my laptop with me. I inquired with Sally at the front desk but there was nothing that she could do. There was an option to order pay per view movies. 5. The next problem is my error. I put the paper do not disturb sign on the door. I did not realize that there was also a button on the light switch that turns on a green light outside of the door when you want the room cleaned. I accidentally turned on the light. The maid walked in on me without knocking first. She was very kind and apologetic. I did not use all hotel amenities. I did enjoy the wine, coffee, and snacks in the front lobby. I also ate breakfast in the hotel restaurant each day. There was a nice variety on the breakfast buffet that changed daily. I found the laundry room to be clean and comfortable with a small sitting area. It is located near the fitness room and restaurant. I would definitely choose to stay at this hotel again if I am in the area. The small issues that I mentioned above are just minor inconveniences and nothing that can't be corrected or worked around. Based on my stay here, I would also try other Mercure hotels when traveling.

We stayed at Jiuhuashan Alley Homestay (Huachengsi Branch) with our family, and it was without question one of the most satisfying accommodations we have experienced in recent years. From the very beginning to the moment we checked out, everything felt thoughtful, well-organized, and genuinely welcoming. What really sets this place apart is not just the beautiful property, but the level of care and service provided throughout the entire stay. Even before our arrival, the host proactively contacted us via WeChat to confirm details and assist with planning. Communication was extremely smooth and responsive — no matter what time of day we had questions, we always received quick and helpful replies. For a destination like Jiuhua Mountain, where logistics and routes can feel overwhelming for first-time visitors, this kind of support makes a huge difference and immediately puts you at ease. The room itself exceeded our expectations. It was spacious, bright, and very comfortable, with a layout that worked perfectly for a family stay. Unlike many homestays that feel cramped, this room had plenty of space to relax, unpack, and truly rest. The bedding was clean and soft, and the overall atmosphere was calm and quiet, allowing us to sleep extremely well. Housekeeping standards were excellent — everything felt carefully maintained and spotlessly clean. One of the highlights of our stay was the afternoon tea, which was freely available and not limited or rushed. This wasn’t just a symbolic offering; it was something you could genuinely enjoy at your own pace. Sitting down in such a peaceful environment with tea and snacks after a day of sightseeing was incredibly relaxing. It added a sense of warmth and hospitality that you don’t often find, especially in scenic-area accommodations. Throughout our stay, the host remained available and attentive without ever being intrusive. Whether we needed advice on sightseeing routes, dining recommendations, or small practical help, everything was handled patiently and efficiently. You truly feel that the host cares about your experience, not just about running a business. Traveling with family can sometimes be stressful, but staying here made everything feel effortless. The location is another strong advantage. Situated near Huacheng Temple, the homestay is in a quiet area that feels removed from crowds, yet it’s still very convenient for visiting key temples and attractions. Evenings were peaceful and silent, which is exactly what you want after a full day at Jiuhua Mountain. The surrounding atmosphere perfectly matches the calm and reflective nature of the destination. What impressed us most was the overall sense of being well taken care of. This is not a place where service is performative or scripted — it feels sincere and consistent. From the communication, to the comfort of the room, to the little details like afternoon tea and thoughtful guidance, everything worked together to create a genuinely memorable stay. In summary, Jiuhuashan Alley Homestay offers not only comfortable accommodation, but also warmth, reliability, and peace of mind. If you are traveling with family, visiting Jiuhua Mountain for the first time, or simply looking for a place where you can truly relax and feel supported, this is an excellent choice. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone seeking a high-quality, worry-free experience.

Vorteile: Die Lage ist sehr praktisch, der Service ist herzlich und aufmerksam, und das Frühstück und Abendessen sind reichhaltig und lecker. Im Zimmer gab es einen Schuhtrockner, der bei Regenwetter eine große Hilfe war. Wir hatten ein Superior-Dreibettzimmer gebucht und bekamen eines im zweiten Stock. Obwohl es als zweiter Stock bezeichnet wurde, lag es tatsächlich sehr niedrig und das Fenster blickte auf eine Mauer (Bild 1). Auf den Werbefotos sah die Aussicht aus dem Fenster jedoch wunderschön aus, und ich dachte, dass der Preis zumindest wegen der Aussicht gerechtfertigt wäre. Wenn man sich auf das innere Bett legte, roch es nach Schimmel. Jedes Zimmer war mit einem Butler ausgestattet, der einen sehr herzlichen Service bot. Nach dem Check-in erhielten wir viele Nachrichten über Nachmittagstee, Saft, Massagesessel-Service und Shows (ich habe keines davon genutzt, da ich dafür das Zimmer verlassen musste und zu müde war; ich wollte einfach nur in Ruhe entspannen). Am Ende wurde uns ein Beutel Obst ins Zimmer gebracht. Aber nachts litt ich sehr unter dem Schimmelgeruch und konnte nicht gut schlafen, sodass ich leider keine volle Fünf-Sterne-Bewertung geben kann, tut mir leid ☹️ Trotzdem vielen Dank für das reichhaltige Abendessen und den herzlichen Service~

Das Shilin Hotel war mit Abstand das teuerste Hotel unserer 2-wöchigen Chinareise und wir müssen festhalten, dass dies wohl ausschließlich über die Lage zu rechtfertigen ist. Das Hotel selbst ist ein wenig in die Jahre gekommen, der Rauch ist in den Gängen überall zu riechen. Die Mitarbeiter sehr freundlich. Das Abendessen/Buffet jedoch das schlechteste Essen der ganzen Reise und das bei 160 Yuen pro Person. Ich würde es verstehen, wenn es an der Logistik liegt geeignete Zutaten auf den Berg zu bekommen. Es gab an sich jedoch alles: Gemüse, Schwein, Ente, Rind, Shrimps. Alles größtenteils jedoch lieb- und geschmacklos zubereitet. Dazu kalt, wenn man später zum Essen kommt. Die Behälter halten nicht warm, die Menge so zahlreich, dass eine Stunde nach Buffetbeginn immernoch die kalten Speisen dort liegen. Herzliche Empfehlung: Lieber weniger Gerichte bereitstellen in Auswahl, dafür qualitativ hochwertig und warm. Selbiges gilt für das Frühstück: kalte Spiegeleier zu Begonn bereits vorgebraten muss nun wirklich nicht sein. In Summe: für eine Nacht zwecks Lage empfehlenswert, sonst kein Highlight.

Ich habe ein Kind in der zweiten Klasse und habe zufällig von den geheimnisvollen Steinen des Huangshan-Gebirges gehört, was mich zu diesem Ausflug inspirierte. Ich hatte zunächst ein Zimmer gebucht, und am Wochenende war oben auf dem Berg kein Zimmer mehr frei. Alles war wunderbar! Die Damen an der Rezeption waren sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich, der Nachmittagstee und die angebotenen Erfrischungen waren köstlich. Schon beim Betreten des Hotels fühlte man sich dank des Designs und des Services wie zu Hause. Die Kinder durften sogar selbst Teigtaschen zubereiten und waren begeistert! Der geräumige Saal eignet sich perfekt für Familien zum Entspannen und Plaudern. Man kann dort übrigens auch Hausaufgaben machen. Wenn ich das nächste Mal wiederkomme, wähle ich auf jeden Fall die Bergsprache! Ich hatte ein tolles Wochenende hier!

Dieses Hotel war ein echter Gewinn für unseren Familienurlaub mit unseren Kindern! Der Besitzer war bei unserer Ankunft unglaublich freundlich, half uns mit unserem Gepäck und erkundigte sich proaktiv nach unseren Bedürfnissen. Unser ursprüngliches Zimmer war etwas klein, aber der Besitzer, der wusste, dass es mit unseren Kindern möglicherweise unbequem sein könnte, gab uns kostenlos ein Upgrade auf ein größeres Zimmer. Der Raum fühlte sich so viel geräumiger an! Was für eine aufmerksame Geste! Das Duschwasser war einfach fantastisch! Nicht nur die Temperatur war konstant, sondern auch der Wasserdruck war unglaublich angenehm. Nach einem anstrengenden Tag voller Spaß entspannte mich eine Dusche sofort und ich fühlte mich entspannt. Das Frühstück am nächsten Tag war sogar noch fantastischer, mit einer großen Auswahl an Optionen, darunter Porridge, gedämpfte Brötchen, Beilagen, frisches Obst und Heißgetränke. Es war für jeden etwas dabei, und wir waren satt und bereit für unsere nächste Reise. Insgesamt war der Aufenthalt fantastisch und der aufmerksame Service des Besitzers war wirklich herzerwärmend. Ich werde definitiv wieder hier übernachten!

I am filling this review out as the person who booked and paid for the room on behalf of my guest / driver, who stayed here for eight days. The room was conveniently located on the ground floor, and despite being adjacent to the main lobby, it was reasonably quiet. A set menu breakfast with nine small dishes was provided every morning in the restaurant, and was very healthy and beautifully presented. Cleaning was done every morning by aunties who knocked around 10a.m. to check if cleaning was requested. Parking onsite for free and EV charging was also available very conveniently next to the hotel. Although the hotel room was non-smoking, the driver smoked both inside the room and in the public lobby, but was not ticked off or asked to smoke outside (!). Staff were very courteous and friendly, always helping with any issue and happy to answer any questions. On departing, both the driver and myself received local biscuits as a gift. Really wonderful place to stay with an extremely well trained, polite family of hospitality experts.

Der Service war sehr aufmerksam. Die Rezeptionistin war sehr freundlich und half mir mit meinem Gepäck. Das Frühstück war inklusive und bot eine große Auswahl, fast wie ein Buffet. Ich dachte, es gäbe nur einen Abhol- und Bringservice, aber man holte mich sogar nach dem Auschecken ab und half mir mit dem Gepäck. Ich kann dieses Hotel für eine Huangshan-Besteigung wärmstens empfehlen. Es ist ausgezeichnet und sehr einladend, und da ich normalerweise keine Hotelbewertungen schreibe, war dies eine angenehme Überraschung. Sehr schönes ethnisches Hotel mit herzlichem und aufmerksamem Service. Wir waren genau zur Zeit des Schneefalls in Huangshan dort, und die Fußbodenheizung im Zimmer war ein Lebensretter. Es gibt einen Außen-Thermalbereich mit einer schönen Umgebung. Beim nächsten Mal in Huangshan werde ich wieder hier übernachten.
