Saubere und komfortable Unterkunft. Wir haben dort übernachtet, um einen frühen Flug zu erwischen. Die Unterkunft liegt sehr nah am Flughafen. Wir haben den Shuttlebus benutzt, um zum Flughafen zu gelangen. Sie liegt an einer vielbefahrenen Straße, aber der Lärm war nicht allzu störend. Man hat keine Aussicht außer auf eine Gasse im Hinterhof. Die Unterkunft hat unsere Bedürfnisse voll und ganz erfüllt und wir würden für denselben Zweck wieder dort übernachten.

Ich habe kürzlich im DoubleTree by Hilton Hobart in der Innenstadt von Hobart übernachtet und war insgesamt sehr zufrieden. Die hervorragende Lage des Hotels, nur wenige Gehminuten von den wichtigsten Sehenswürdigkeiten und Geschäftsvierteln entfernt, macht es sowohl für Touristen als auch für Geschäftsreisende ideal. Der Check-in verlief freundlich und effizient. Die Mitarbeiter an der Rezeption boten mir als nette Geste ihre typischen heißen Schokoladenkekse an. Das Zimmer war geräumig und hell, modern und gleichzeitig komfortabel eingerichtet und mit bequemen Betten ausgestattet, die für einen erholsamen Schlaf sorgten. Zur Ausstattung gehörten kostenloses WLAN, ein Flachbildfernseher und eine Kaffeemaschine. Das Hotelrestaurant bietet eine große Auswahl an Frühstücksgerichten, von westlichen bis hin zu asiatischen Spezialitäten, sodass für jeden Geschmack etwas dabei ist. Besonders gut haben mir das frische Obst und der frisch gebrühte Kaffee gefallen, die mir einen perfekten Start in den Tag bescherten. Einziger Verbesserungspunkt ist die Schalldämmung der Zimmer, die etwas zu wünschen übrig ließ; ich konnte gelegentlich Geräusche vom Flur hören. Da die Parkplätze begrenzt sind, empfehle ich, im Voraus zu reservieren.

Das Hotel ist sehr schön mit hohen Aufstiegshotels und niedrigen Aufstiegsgebäuden von Zimmern, die ruhiger und neben dem Wasser sind. Die Aussicht ist fabulös, die Dienstleistungen sind großartig und es gibt viele Restaurants und Bars um. Ich empfehle diesen Ort jedem, der Hobart besucht.

The whole experience was seemless, no hidden costs and any extras we needed were available to us apon request. Motel was quiet and well situated to the inner city. Staff were always very very accommodating and pleasant to deal with.

Extremely Terrible Experience – Inhumane & Unacceptable Service I am writing this review to strongly condemn this hotel’s extremely cold-blooded and unethical service, and to warn all travelers never to stay here. 1. Inhumane treatment of an elderly guest with serious health conditions Check-out time is 10:00 AM, which is already unreasonably early. It was raining heavily that day, with nowhere to go. My father, nearly 70 years old, with 3 heart stents and long-term hypertension, felt unwell and exhausted from the trip, and desperately needed to rest longer. I communicated politely multiple times and even offered to pay extra to extend check-out until 12:00 noon, but was ruthlessly refused every time. I had already checked out one of the two rooms early; I only asked to keep one room for my father to rest. The staff were extremely harsh, rigid, and totally lacking in empathy. They only allowed a 1-hour extension until 11:00 AM, and spoke to me in a very severe and accusatory tone, as if we had committed a mistake. 2. Severe service failure upon check-in I had asked Ctrip to inform the hotel 3 DAYS in advance that I booked two rooms, one requiring twin beds. However, I still had to wait 2 FULL HOURS for them to rearrange the beds on the day of check-in. 3. Extremely poor value for money I spent over HK$9,000 for two rooms for one night, only to receive zero care and respect for an elderly guest with serious medical conditions. This hotel has no compassion, no service ethics, no humanity. Absolutely unacceptable. Strongly NOT recommended. 极差体验 —— 冷漠无情、毫无医德的服务 我写这条评价，是为了强烈谴责这家酒店极其冷血、毫无职业道德的服务，并警告所有旅客千万不要入住。 1. 对高龄重病长辈冷漠无情 酒店退房时间为上午10点，本就远早于大多数酒店。 当天下大雨，无处可去。 我父亲年近70岁，心脏装有3个支架，长期高血压，旅途劳累身体不适，急需多休息。 我多次礼貌沟通，甚至主动提出付费延到12点退房，均被无情拒绝。 我已经提前退掉一间房，只希望保留一间让父亲休息。 工作人员态度极其强硬、冷漠、毫无同理心。 最终只勉强同意延到11点，且语气严厉、态度恶劣，仿佛我们犯了错。 2. 入住服务严重失职 我已提前3天通过携程明确要求：两间房，其中一间为双床房。 结果入住当天仍被迫等待2小时，酒店才临时拆分床铺。 3. 性价比极差、体验恶劣 我一晚两间房共消费9000多港币，却换来对高龄病患客人的无视与不尊重。 这家酒店毫无同情心、毫无服务底线、毫无人情味。 完全无法接受，强烈不推荐！

Sehr guter Ort, im Szenario des Battles Mountains. Es dauert nur zwei Minuten, um zum Devils Sanctuary und zum Touristenzentrum zu fahren. Das kleine Holzhaus ist vernünftig gestaltet, mit einer Terrasse und oft mit kleinen Tieren zum Terrasse ”Hallo”. Das kleine Wohnzimmer ist sehr warm und die Küchengeräte sind auch sehr vollständig. Wir haben hier zwei sehr glückliche Nächte verbracht.

The hotel itself is very beautiful, great location as well. However the room feels very stuffy, the balcony is locked only a small window is left open and the screen window is incredibly dusty, I don’t think it’s ever been cleaned. Also the housekeeping is very unprofessional, she came straight in without even knocking the door around 9am while we are still sleeping, just saying hello when unlocking the door. Unhappy about that.

Very convenient location for day tour pick ups. Good sound proofing in the room as well, given that it’s by the street. If you keep the windows shut you won’t hear a sound. Space was quite tight for 3 people. Basically not much space to open your medium size luggages, and even the bathroom there’s not much space. Overall a good place to stay if you want convenience and on a budget.

Nice rooms and a fantastic location, but the food was a real letdown. Highland Restaurant seems determined to dress up fairly average food as “premium Australiana” so they can justify premium prices, but the menu is limited and the quality simply doesn’t match the cost. For a restaurant positioned as fine dining, it falls well short of expectations. We ended up eating mostly at the Tavern Bar & Bistro, which was more reasonable, but even there the experience was disappointing. In freezing Cradle Mountain weather, the kitchen was closed by 8pm on a Friday night and we couldn’t even get a bowl of soup. For a remote alpine-style lodge where guests are largely captive to the onsite dining options, that’s pretty poor. The accommodation itself is lovely, but the food offering needs serious improvement. With the prices they charge and the reputation they market, they should be doing a lot better.

Wir genossen wirklich unseren Aufenthalt im Fox and Hounds Historic Hotel. Sehr sauber, warm und komfortabel Zimmer. Personal sind sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich und das Essen ist erstaunlich. Wir werden sicherlich wieder bleiben und sehr empfehlen.
