Here's why we gave the experience 3 stars; First of all, when we booked the hotel, neither Trip.com nor The Aster, Los Angeles, mentioned anything about the rooftop being closed on the dates we booked. On May 13 and May 14, we stayed in room 3 0 6. The hotel pictures showed and bragged about having a rooftop and plenty of pics of people there, and nowhere was revealed anywhere on their website or Trip.com that would not be available on those dates. When we reached out to Trip.com, they pretty much said that the rooftop amenities weren't listed as part of our package. Really Trip.com? You have to list the rooftop as the amenity... Got it. That was so lame a response. Everyone knows people book due to the pictures, and this was a seriously lame response from the Trip.com customer support personnel. We decided to save our opinion for this review. The Aster had nice people, but it's hard to believe the availability missing on their website is a detail they would miss. Their hotel has impeccable detail and design. One can only surmise they conveniently left out the information because people would obviously not book there and go somewhere else. I told the front receptionist this as we were checking in. She mentioned, well, it said it on *******. But we didn't book through *******, we booked through Trip.com. And those specific details were not evident. After July 1st the Government is getting stricter on transparency with hotels having to mention things so we missed this window, but we're happy to hold hotels like The Aster accountable:-) Also, on Wednesday, we checked out, and they had a fire alarm drill test that lasted about 10 minutes. They forgot to mention another minor ”inconvenience” when we booked on their website. It was at 10 am. It wasn't so bad, but to state the obvious, they left out the ability for customers to decide by not making that information transparent during the booking process. It's not like the fire department or tech people didn't schedule that in advance. 1. If you book through Trip.com, please make sure you specify, call their customer support, and get it in writing. The clickbait and pictures seem shady and sketchy and reflect a lack of credibility in the process. 2. Trip.com asked which room we wanted to be in. When we picked the room, we picked the city-view balcony. But we got put in the poolside view instead. It wasn't bad, but that was missing in the booking details that Trip.com sent to The Aster. My fiance ended up being okay with the poolside view, but it should have been in the booking details via Trip.com. So please, please make sure you watch this if you book through them and call the hotel in advance. Lastly, the decor, valet, and, in general, the service people were very nice and thoughtful. We would give them 5 stars.

Es ist ein altes Hotel mit kultureller Basis, alle Mitarbeiter sind sehr freundlich, der Gästezimmerservice ist rechtzeitig und in der Lage, die Betten und Bettwäsche sind sehr komfortabel, das Frühstück ist nicht gesagt, das Wochenende-Menü wird in ein brunch-Menü ersetzt. Alle Vorteile lassen mich die einzigen Nachteile der Nulllandschaft außerhalb des Fensters berücksichtigen. Parken ist Valet, die Tür hat CVS, fünf Minuten zu Fuß haben eine erste Taco-Station in den USA, aber die Straße ist homeless

Staying on a day whwn the weather was horrible undoutably did not help this being good review as we were unable to use the pool areas or enjoy the balconies or the bikes etc but I have to say I was disappointed in the room itself given the cost. When it costs in the $600 range I expected more. 300 square feet, with one chair, a bench along one wall facing away from the TV and a work space that I can only describe as laughable is less than I expected. I confess if I had paid more attention to the pictures, they were accurate. The quality of the bedding and the towels etc were top notch as were the robes and other aids. The fridge was strange but it met our needs. The lighting was interesting. Lights turned them selves off and on automatically not always when you wanted them to, including in the middle of the night if you did not want wake your partner. When the lights went off in half the room we were startled but it seems this just might be to keep the electric bill down as when we rentered the area they came back on. They tell you the internet and parking are free but are they? They were the only two things I recieved for a $60 resort fee. On the bright side the staff was excellent though they would benifit having a larger check in area. The dinner at their restaurant was outstanding. Beware, that if you have any walking disabilities some rooms not on the first floor are only accessible via the stair way. Our designated room was one of them and we have disabilities. The staff was able to do some moving around and all was well but if you are going to stay there make sure they are aware.

Ausstattung: Sehr gut, allerdings verfügt das Bad über keine bewegliche Dusche Hygiene: Sehr gut. Auch der Typ, der das Gästezimmer reinigt, ist sehr nett. Umwelt: Nicht erwähnt. Absolut zentral gelegen, mit weitem Blick auf LA Service: fünf Sterne. Ich habe meine Zimmerkarte verloren, tut mir leid. Die Lobby befindet sich im 70. Stock und bietet eine sehr gute Aussicht. Es sollte als leichtes Luxus-Boutique-Hotel betrachtet werden. Die Lage ist gut und ruhig. Bis zum berühmten Rodeo Drive sind es etwa zehn bis zwanzig Minuten, an denen wir vorbeikommen. Die schönen kleinen Häuser sind so erfrischend. Nachts ist es sehr ruhig, da es immer noch in Beverly liegt, selbst am Rande der Stadt. Außerdem ist es ein paar Kilometer vom WeHo und anderen Barvierteln entfernt, sodass Sie ein Taxi nehmen müssen. Der Service und alles andere waren ziemlich gut, als ich die Rechnung begleichte. Sie haben mir fast eine Parkgebühr berechnet, weil ich überhaupt nicht gefahren bin. Ich weiß immer noch nicht, ob die Anzahlung zurückerstattet wurde.

Nachdem Sie mit dem Bus von Los Angeles nach Anaheim gefahren sind, sind es vom Disneyland-Bahnhof aus etwa 10 Minuten zu Fuß. Die Straße war voller Menschen, die von Disney zurückkehrten, was eine fröhliche Atmosphäre schaffte. Das Hotel ist sauber und man bekommt zwei 500-ml-Flaschen Wasser. Wir waren für 2 Nächte und 3 Tage hier und bekamen zusätzliches Wasser, wenn wir darum baten. Der Pool war sehr sauber und das angeschlossene Café war köstlich! Während meines Aufenthalts besuchte ich den Disney Adventure Park und das Angel Stadium! Das Stadion ist 40 Minuten zu Fuß entfernt, also habe ich einen Bus genommen. Der Bus auf dem Rückweg wird sehr voll sein. Am letzten Tag sollte ich um 5 Uhr morgens abreisen, und als ich mich an der Rezeption erkundigte, sagten sie mir, ich solle um 4 Uhr morgens auschecken und eine Stunde in der Lobby verbringen. Die Lobby war groß und sauber, es gab also kein Problem. Uber holte mich um 17 Uhr sicher ab und wir kamen in etwa 40 Minuten am LAX an.

Obwohl dieses Hotel auf den Fotos luxuriös aussieht – und ich habe schon in vielen Conrads übernachtet, die das sind –, war es das nicht. Es fühlte sich klein und beengt an. Das Zimmer war sehr einfach und die Dusche hatte keinen starken Druck. Es schien, als wäre das Zimmer nur für Fotos gut, aber in Wirklichkeit wirkte es billig. Die Zimmer waren nicht schallisoliert und eines Nachts hörten wir ein Paar eine Weile streiten. Die Sirenen aus dem Elendsviertel waren ständig zu hören (das Elendsviertel ist nur eine Straße entfernt). Das Frühstück war gut, obwohl es bei beiden Gelegenheiten, als wir es hatten, kalt ankam und neu zubereitet werden musste. Das ist enttäuschend, da es à la carte ist! Ehrlich gesagt würde ich hier nicht wieder übernachten.

Ein wirklich wunderbares Hotel, was die Hardware betrifft. Leider vermute ich, dass ich als Ostasiener eine Art Rassendiskriminierung bei diesem Grundstück hätte begegnen können. So wurde mir beispielsweise gefragt, wie ich meinen europäischen Pass bekam und, mehrmals, wo ich „ursprünglich“ war. Ich wurde absichtlich mit einem Untergeschoss mit absolut keiner Aussicht (gegenüber ihrem Büroraum in einem engen Atrium; das Zimmer in meinen Fotos ist nach mir für eine Aufrüstung bezahlt).

Ich war schon oft in Monterey und habe immer überlegt, etwas mehr auszugeben, um hier zu übernachten. Mein Aufenthalt war in Ordnung. Das Zimmer war sauber, die große Badewanne und die separate Dusche haben mir sehr gefallen. Die Bettdecke war sehr bequem, aber die Kissen waren nur dünn und boten keine Stütze. Ich war enttäuscht von meinem „Meerblick“, der sich als Blick auf die Backsteinmauer des Nachbargebäudes mit einem fragwürdigen Metallbalkon entpuppte. Wer mutig genug war, hinüberzuschauen, konnte das Meer sehen. Das Parken kostet über 50 Dollar pro Nacht, egal ob man den Parkservice nutzt oder selbst parkt. Uns wurde nicht gesagt, welche der nahegelegenen Parkhäuser zum Hotel gehören, und so landeten wir in der ersten Nacht im falschen und mussten doppelt zahlen. Wenn ich wiederkomme, würde ich das hoteleigene Parkhaus meiden und stattdessen das in der Foam Street für 20 Dollar pro Nacht nutzen. Wir haben das Restaurant nicht besucht und können daher nichts dazu sagen. Die Gegend ist schön, die Nähe zum Aquarium gefällt mir sehr. Direkt draußen auf dem Strip gibt es viele kleine Touristenläden und Cafés. Für den Preis plus die zusätzlichen Parkgebühren würde ich hier wahrscheinlich nicht noch einmal übernachten. Die vielen Sehenswürdigkeiten in der Umgebung sind mit dem Auto schnell zu erreichen, daher erscheint es mir persönlich sinnvoller, etwas außerhalb zu übernachten und weniger auszugeben.
