"Für die letzte Etappe unserer Reise kehrten wir ins Star Grand Brisbane zurück und wurden erneut nicht enttäuscht. Von den stilvollen, komfortablen Zimmern bis hin zum freundlichen und professionellen Personal – alles an diesem Hotel vermittelt das Gefühl eines luxuriösen Zuhauses fernab der Heimat. Die Ausstattung ist hervorragend, die Betten unglaublich bequem und die Lage ist ideal, um alles zu genießen, was Brisbane zu bieten hat. Es war der perfekte Ort zum Entspannen und Erholen nach unseren Reisen. Ein kleiner Wermutstropfen: Die kostenlose Snack- und Getränkebar, obwohl eine nette Geste, wurde während unseres zweitägigen Aufenthalts nicht aufgefüllt. Es wäre schön gewesen, wenn sie aufgefrischt worden wäre, vor allem, da wir mehr als eine Nacht blieben. Hoffentlich wird hier nachgebessert. Abgesehen davon hat es das Gesamterlebnis nicht getrübt. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt hier wirklich genossen und werden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen. Sehr empfehlenswert!"

"Das Meriton Hotel besticht durch seine hervorragende Lage und voll ausgestattete Zimmer mit Herd, Kühlschrank, Backofen, Wäschetrockner und Waschmaschine – alles, was man für einen komfortablen Aufenthalt benötigt. Für 166 AUD bietet es angesichts der Ausstattung und der Lage ein ausgezeichnetes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Am meisten ärgert mich jedoch, dass das Hotel kein Bargeld akzeptiert und für jede Kreditkartenzahlung eine Transaktionsgebühr von 1,5 % erhebt – eine völlig unfaire Klausel. Ich hatte ausreichend Bargeld dabei, konnte es aber nicht verwenden und musste die Gebühren somit selbst tragen. Noch unverschämter ist die zusätzliche Gebühr von 20 AUD für Parkgebühren bei Kartenzahlung, was den Aufenthalt insgesamt sehr unangenehm machte. Obwohl die Ausstattung insgesamt lobenswert ist, sind die Preisgestaltung und der Service äußerst schlecht und unmenschlich."

"Ich war begeistert vom Brisbane Hyatt. Ich habe schließlich noch vier weitere Nächte dort verbracht und konnte einfach nicht genug davon bekommen. Es war zentral gelegen. Ich konnte mich sehr leicht in der Stadt fortbewegen. Ich konnte zu Fuß zum wunderbaren Parkland Lake gehen, wo die große Party mitten in der Stadt stattfindet, wo alle am Strand sind und Volleyball spielen und Spaß haben. Das Essen war außergewöhnlich. Der Service war hervorragend. Das Bett war sehr bequem. Alles war modern und sauber und umweltfreundlich, also war ich insgesamt ziemlich beeindruckt und ich bin sicher, dass ich in Zukunft wiederkommen werde. Vielen Dank! Ich bin ein großer Fan."

"We stayed for four nights over the Easter holiday in a panorama sea view room in the new tower. First of all, the location is excellent. The pool area has a sandy beach, and compared to the Hilton next door, the water was much clearer and very pleasant. The view is absolutely beautiful. However, when the tide goes out, it turns into what feels like a “panoramic mudflat view,” so I would recommend carefully considering the timing of your stay. On the other hand, there were several issues with the room. There is no balcony, and the windows cannot be opened. There were mosquitoes in the room, and I was bitten multiple times, which caused itching and swelling. The insect repellent device in the hallway was empty, which made me question the quality of housekeeping management. When I spoke to a female staff member at reception, I was told that only body spray repellent was available, and no further assistance was offered, so I had to purchase and install my own insect repellent. In addition, there was a sewage-like smell coming from the bathroom. The mirror and sink were not properly cleaned and appeared dirty. The room and hallway also had a moldy smell, and due to the humidity, the bed linens felt damp. The duvet was thin and not very comfortable. As I am sensitive to smells, these issues made me feel nauseous and unwell. Later, my husband spoke to a male staff member at reception. Although the hotel was fully booked and we were unable to change rooms, he responded with sincerity, apologized thoroughly, and instructed housekeeping to carry out a deep cleaning. When we returned from going out, the bathroom had been properly cleaned and the sewage smell was gone. The moldy smell in the room did not completely disappear, but it had been masked with deodorizer, and we were able to sleep well that night. However, the same issues returned the following day. As it was the Easter holiday and other hotels were fully booked, we had no choice but to stay until the end of our reservation. Afterward, I checked reviews and found many similar complaints about the moldy smell, which made me regret not researching more thoroughly beforehand. I had assumed that as a five-star hotel, it would be fine. Overall, the reception staff were kind, friendly, and professional. In particular, the male staff member who assisted us was excellent. On the other hand, I felt that the quality of housekeeping needs improvement. In my opinion, these issues are largely due to a design flaw—specifically, the building was designed with aesthetics prioritized over functionality by the construction company and architect, resulting in rooms where windows cannot be opened despite the humid tropical climate. The older tower, which has balconies and windows that can be opened, may not have the same problems. I would not recommend this hotel to those who are sensitive to smells, but for those who are not, it can still be a wonderful place to stay given its location and facilities."

"Every aspect of this stay from check-in to Check -out was fantastic. The staff were very helpful especially the manager Joe, as he gave us a tour of the hotel and a room change as each room is very individual and has a variety of views of the city. We would highly recommend this hotel for its location to explore beautiful Brisbane."

"We booked The Langham on the Gold Coast for our honeymoon. It is a nice hotel but I can honestly say it is not worth the over $550 per night we paid. I’ve listed positives and negatives below: Positives: - there was a nice note and small chocolate slice in the room wishing us a lovely honeymoon - Staff are very friendly/welcoming - Ocean view was amazing from the hotel room - facilities - gymnasium was fully equipped with a view of the ocean/beach - Bathtub was lovely - Easy access to the beach Negatives: - There were stains on the sheets. When we arrived I noticed two stains in separate places on the sheets (note: they were dry stains). I went down to reception and they said they’d send housekeeping up to change the sheets. As advised, a woman arrived to change the sheets. Unfortunately, I didn’t check the new sheets and there were stains on those as well. I went back down to reception and they said they’d send a supervisor up again to look at the sheets. Two staff came to the room, apologised and changed the sheets again (this time I checked). The hotel gave us a bottle of wine, some lip balm and pillow spray which was a nice gesture as an apology, however, multiple stained sheets for what is meant to be a 5 star hotel is very disappointing. - The pre-authorisation amount (hold) when checking in is $200 a day, so $1,000 for a 5 night stay. This is ridiculously high. I don’t know why they hold that much considering most hotels, even 5 star hotels I’ve stayed in, hold $100-200 for a stay. On a positive note it did come back into my account straight away at check-out"
