Sorry for the long review, but I wanted to be as informative as possible and share the information I would have liked to know before booking. This was my 5th trip to Marrakesh and my first stay at Savoy Le Grand. I was quite nervous booking after reading some negative reviews, but overall I had a very pleasant experience. From the moment we stepped out of the taxi, we were warmly welcomed by Salah (concierge) and the Moroccan tea man in reception. From check-in to check-out (4 days later), all staff were friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Everyone we encountered spoke Arabic, French, and English, which made communication very easy. The foyer is beautiful, and the grounds are extremely well cared for—even more beautiful than expected. That said, there is ongoing construction and upgrades, which are not mentioned on the website. This is currently their quiet season, and the main construction is above the reception building, which is being extended upwards. Noise started daily around 9:15am, drilling around 9:38am, and finished around 6:30pm. Estimated completion is 1 May 2026. If you request a room near the second smaller pool, the noise is much less noticeable. The noise is louder and echoes more around the main pool due to the square layout. The hotel has four pools: two outdoor and two indoor. One indoor pool is heated and includes jacuzzi jets. There is also an additional indoor jacuzzi at the spa, charged at MAD 250 per person for one hour. There are three à la carte restaurants on site: Moroccan, International, and Italian. Directly outside the hotel are a supermarket, Paul, Chilli’s, and Papa John’s. Please note that outside food is not allowed inside the hotel. There is an ATM in reception and direct access to Menara Mall, which closes at 10pm. Special thanks to Nabil at reception, who did an excellent job checking us in. He listened carefully to my needs and arranged early check-in to a ground-floor room close to the restaurants, spa, and gym, with a garden and pool view. Soundproofing from the pool area was good, although hallway noise does travel. The grounds are beautiful, but the ground-floor rooms occasionally had a sewage smell, which I’ve also experienced at other Moroccan hotels. We did experience a few issues with our first room (heating not working, leaking fridge, slow-draining sink). Without us needing to complain, Soukayna from guest relations came first thing the next morning and immediately arranged for us to move to a beautiful suite. This level of customer service, care, and attentiveness is exactly what you expect from a 5-star hotel. In the evening there’s live entertainment music in the bar and outside a light & water fountain display. The suite was stunning—very spacious, with a separate living area, two balconies, lots of storage, mini fridge, large sofa, king-size bed, two TVs, kettle, coffee machine, safe, bathrobes and slippers. The bathroom had two sinks (standard rooms have one), plenty of toiletries (no washcloths), a large shower with both handheld and waterfall options, and excellent water pressure. There wasn’t much space to hang items, and there is a bidet hose beside the toilet. Thank you to the head cleaning lady for the final touches and maintaining a high standard of cleanliness. I’d like to thank all the staff for providing us with a wonderful stay. I love the Moroccan people—they are humble, kind, and always willing to help. Despite the construction, I achieved my goal of relaxation and a short break. This is now my new favourite hotel in Marrakesh, and I will definitely return and recommend it to friends and family

From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel like part of the family. A huge thank you to Aziz at reception and El Houssaine, who were both absolutely exceptional. Their kindness, warmth and genuine care made our stay so special. They didn’t just provide great service, they made us feel like we were staying with family, and that’s something we’ll never forget. We came to celebrate our anniversary, and without us even asking, they surprised us by setting up a beautifully romantic dinner table. It was such a thoughtful gesture and made our celebration incredibly special. It’s the little touches like this that create memories that last a lifetime. One evening, we got back from the Medina in the early hours after an adrenaline filled adventure exploring the bustling streets and markets. We mentioned that a nice cup of tea and some biscuits would be perfect to help us unwind, and by the time we arrived back, Aziz already had everything waiting for us with a smile. It was such a simple but incredibly thoughtful gesture that perfectly sums up the level of hospitality we experienced throughout our stay. A special thank you also goes to Yousara, for her warm greetings every single morning. The breakfasts were fresh, delicious and prepared with so much care. Starting each day with wonderful food made every morning something to look forward to. Thank you as well to another wonderful Aziz (who served us in the restaurant). Every day he looked after us so well, and when he realised our phone charger wasn’t working, he kindly lent us his own charger without us even having to ask again. That level of kindness and generosity says everything about the people who work here. And to the wonderful gentleman who welcomed us each morning at breakfast with a big smile and great energy, you made every breakfast feel special and set the tone for the day. We never forgot your warm welcome. Thank you for always making us feel so at home. The lunch and dinner deserves a special mention too. The chef is simply outstanding! Every meal was fresh, beautifully prepared and full of flavour. Honestly, the food here was far better than what we had at several of the rooftop restaurants in the Medina. We’re already missing every meal! The rooftop is something truly magical. Watching the sun set with the Atlas Mountains stretching out on one side, while the moon slowly rose above them as the sun disappeared on the opposite horizon, was breathtaking. No words, and certainly no photographs, can do that view justice. It’s something you simply have to experience for yourself. The hotel itself has everything you could want, stunning views, wonderfully comfortable beds, peaceful surroundings and an atmosphere that instantly helps you relax. It truly felt like a home away from home. To Aziz, El Houssaine and the entire team, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. You didn’t just make our anniversary special, you made our whole trip unforgettable. Your kindness, professionalism and genuine hospitality are what make this place so unique, and you are all a huge credit to the hotel. This wasn’t just a hotel stay, it was an experience we’ll treasure forever. We already miss everyone and can’t wait to return. In fact, we’re already looking at booking our next trip, and this time we’ll be bringing our friends and family so they can experience this incredible place and meet the amazing people who made our stay so memorable. Großes Resort für aktive Familien, die ihren Sport mögen. Hierzu gehören Paddelball, Full-Size-Fußball-Pitch, Basketball, Volleyball, Tischtennis und viele Aqua-Aktivitäten. Gut Fitness & Innenpool. Geheizter Außenpool sowie eine Reihe anderer Außenpools. Einschließlich VR/Gaming und Arcades. Vielzahl von Unterhaltungen. Schöner Aquapark und Wasserräder Kurs für über 150cm Menschen enthalten. Die Lobbybar ist brillant für Kaffee und erstaunliches Backen. Auch groß für Fußball zu sehen. Zimmer sind groß, modern und gut ausgestattet. Essen ist vielfältig. Sehr schöne Auswahl an Nicht-Weg wie Königswurzeln, geräucherten Lachs, Hühnerkebabs, Türkei-Steaks, aber kann nach ein paar Tagen wiederholt werden. Alle inklusive Getränke sind gut. Der kostenlose Shuttlebus nach Medina ist nützlich. 30 Minuten entfernt. Negative Punkte sind vor allem wirklich schlechter Kundenservice, schlechte Kommunikation und einige harte Mitarbeiter! Sehr wertvolles Hotel, kann als ein heißer Moment der gesamten Reise nach Marokko gesagt werden. Jedes Zimmer ist ein unabhängiges Riad-Zimmer. Der Service ist freundlich, aber leidenschaftlich. Neben der allgemeinen Mahlzeit kann die Umgebung nicht provokierend sein. Maraguash ist im Allgemeinen ziemlich schmutzig. Es gibt zwei Welten im Hotel und außerhalb des Hotels. Wenn Sie das nächste Mal wieder in Maraguash kommen, dann bedenken Sie immer noch, hier zu leben!

The host is incredibly friendly and helpful, making us feel very welcome throughout our stay. We also had the wonderful opportunity to try a traditional Moroccan-style breakfast prepared by the host, which was absolutely delicious and a truly memorable experience✨✨

This is an absolutely stunning Riad. I cannot praise it enough. The courtyard is beautiful and full of trees and plants. The restaurant shares this space and is a wonderful experience to have breakfast, lunch or dinner among the trees and plants. We stayed in room Orientalle and it is just incredible. There is a balcony over the pool and plenty of room to relax. The artwork is also stunning, not just in the room but all over the riad. It is like staying in a museum. There are also many patios to relax in although we could not make full use of them as the weather wasn't great. The real stars of the Riad are the staff. They are simply amazing. Ahmed looked after us so well. Sorted out our transfers and organised a tour of Marrakech, booked a restaurant for is. Would always ask if we were okay was always ready with a tip or helping on what to do or where to go. When he wasn't there Khalid did the same. Khalid is also very friendly and helpful. It was great having them in reception just before you went out. As we had come to celebrate our 25th Wedding Anniversary Ahmed had decorated the room with petals and had also arranged a bunch of roses for my wife. He also organised a special vegetarian dinner in the restaurant for us Housekeeping led by Latifa were great and the room was cleaned very well and repeatedly decorated with rose petals. Breakfast is a traditional Moroccan one and is very good. The star is however Oussama, our waiter. He looked after us every day and insisted we try everything and made sure we had a good breakfast. He is a very genuine person and truly wants you to have a good time. When we had dinner at the restaurant one evening he made sure we couldn't eat another crumb. A truly kind and sweet person I cannot praise the Riad and staff enough. It is not the cheapest place but for my wife and I it was worth every penny. The memories we have will last for ever. We will return

Highly recommend any travellers to Marrakesh to stay in this raid! It is walking distance to most of the attractions and the hospitality from this raid has been amazing! Staffs were very friendly and helpful too. The breakfast provided was amazing too! What you see in other reviews with regards to the mouldy bathrooms, I personally feel that it’s all part of the aesthetic of the raid. Apart from that, we loved our room in this raid as it was really clean and cosy!

We didn’t have any issues there. In general the service is good even if there is nobody in the reception thus they give you your own keys of the main entrance and your room. As a suggestion it is needed a sign “Riad Nouhal” but anyway, if you follow the location on Google Maps, you will be in.

Als sehr erfahrene Reisende genießen meine Familie und ich die erstaunlichsten Resorts und Hotels der Welt, die wir mit einem sehr diskriminierenden Auge betrachten. Für die Oberoi Marrakesch ist es wirklich schwer, Schuld zu finden. Das relativ neue Hotel ist einfach mit der beeindruckenden Lobby und Villas sowie mit 2700 Olivenbäumen erstaunlich. Der geschäftige General Manager Mamdouh ist der perfekte und verbrauchte Hotelier, jemals anwesend, alles nicht-stop-Check, um sicherzustellen, dass die Gäste Erfahrung nicht weniger als 5-stars. Jalal von ihrem F&B-Verkaufszentrum überraschte uns mit einer ganzen Menge Zitronenkuchen, um nach London zurückzunehmen, die nicht für zwei Frühstücken verfügbar war, die wir nach unserem ersten Frühstück verloren haben. El Habib ist ein erstaunlicher Server, der Ihnen mit seiner Zauberlampe mindestens drei Wünsche gewähren kann! Khalid der Duty Manager fragt auch nicht aufhören, wie sie einen Service verbessern können, der bereits von Exzellenz ist. Unsere Hutten sind der erstaunliche Pastakoch, der gebackene Waren macht, die die beste Pariser Patisserie konkurrieren. Ich sah die beiden Mitarbeiter, die jede Maschine im Fitnesscenter mit vier Sprays reinigen, die weder Staub noch Keim verlassen - sie konzentrieren sich auf die wenigsten Details. Das ganze Team ist nur sehr gut ausgebildet und professionell und sehr engagiert in ihrem Wunsch, Ihre Erwartungen zu überschreiten. Die Synchronisierung ihrer Bemühungen, in der natürlichsten und ehrlichsten Weise, immer mit großen Lächeln, übersetzt zu nichts weniger als eine wirklich erinnerebare Erfahrung. Sie wissen, wie Sie sich wie Arabische Königsherrschaft fühlen! Wir werden sicherlich zurück sein!!! Danke sehr allen!!! Shukran! Wenn Sie diesen “Palazzo in der Mitte der Oasis-Erfahrung” in Marrakesch wollen, werden Sie es nicht besser als bei der Oberoi!

Wir hatten das Vergnügen, während unseres Besuchs in Marrakesch im Riad Jibril zu übernachten, und was für eine wunderbare Erfahrung es war! Unser Gastgeber Iheb verdient wirklich den Titel einer Legende. Vom Moment unseres Eincheckens bis zum Auschecken hat er unseren Aufenthalt unvergesslich gemacht. Auch wenn es kein 5-Sterne-Hotel ist, bot es ein einzigartiges und authentisches marokkanisches Erlebnis, das unsere Erwartungen übertraf. Das Riad selbst mit seiner traditionellen Architektur war sauber und einladend. Der Höhepunkt war zweifellos die ruhige Terrasse, eine friedliche Oase abseits der Hektik der Medina. Eines Abends genossen wir Shisha auf der Terrasse, ein herrliches Erlebnis, das uns nur rund 70 MAD kostete. Wir hatten auch das Vergnügen, auf der Terrasse zu speisen, wo wir köstliche Tajine zu einem sehr günstigen Preis von 60 MAD pro Stück genossen. Die Kochkünste des Küchenchefs waren wirklich beeindruckend. Das Frühstück, das jeden Morgen serviert wurde, war traditionell und gemütlich! Was unseren Aufenthalt zu etwas ganz Besonderem machte, war die warme und einladende Atmosphäre, die Iheb und das Personal geschaffen haben. Wir kamen als Gäste an, verließen das Hotel aber mit dem Gefühl, Freunde zu sein. Wir freundeten uns sogar mit den beiden entzückenden Hauskätzchen an: Sofia, der langhaarigen Katze, und Leena, dem rotbraunen Kätzchen. Ihre Anwesenheit verlieh unserem Aufenthalt einen zusätzlichen Charme. Die Lage des Riad Jibril war perfekt und das Kamel vor dem Geldwechsel diente als hervorragender Orientierungspunkt. Das Riad lag in der gegenüberliegenden Gasse, zweite Tür, und war daher leicht zu finden. Besonders gut hat uns die Nähe zur Kasbah in der Nähe des Zeitun-Cafés gefallen, einem unserer Lieblingsorte für einen abendlichen Besuch. Die von Laternen beleuchtete Terrasse des Cafés bot einen majestätischen Ausblick, der unsere Abende noch unvergesslicher machte.
