Overall, the hotel is good seeing that not many options in Malindi don’t have beachfronts. But maybe rates should be half the current one. We paid 200 USD per night per standard room for bed and breakfast, and we thought for what it is, it’s not worth it. We didn’t see the kind of services and amenities you’d expect from this price in Malindi. Also, breakfast was subpar for this kind of hotel and price. The breakfast wasn’t great and didn’t have many options. On my first breakfast I asked for Americano and they gave me cheap instant coffee. They replaced it with actual coffee when I told them this is bad instant coffee, but not sure why offer it in the first place. We had lunch there once and was good though. Also, for some reason they didn’t explain, we were not allowed to eat anything, even snacks, while sitting on the sun beds, only drinks allowed and if you want to eat you have to go to the restaurant or the beach bar. We thought that was unreasonably and unnecessarily restrictive. Like I wanted to chill on the sun beds while eating the desert I ordered from there, but they didn’t allow and were very insisting. They didn’t offer any explanation but “sorry, it’s not allowed.” Other beach bars and restaurants on the beach where we went to hang out allowed food while sitting on table/sun beds by the beach. Also, most hotels offer complimentary shuttle pick up from the airport (which is 12 minutes only away from the hotel). They don’t offer it for free and actually offer it at 6+ times more the market price (Uber and taxis charge 350 KES and, the hotel charges 2,000 KES.) On our first day, we seemed to be the only people at the hotel that are not there for the conference, upon arrival we went to the pool by the beach bar. We found it dirty, and full of dead flies and leaves. The staff were nice and responsive and cleaned it immediately, but why have this the pool like this until someone asks to clean it? They also say they have 5 pools (because there are pools in front of every set of four rooms) but the one in front of us was actually filthy. The water was dark and looked visibly not clean. If we asked, they would have probably cleaned it, but I’m not there to supervise and give instructions. I would’ve liked to just find things the way they’re supposed to be. These small things can be annoying though I wouldn’t say it ruined the experience, just made it a bit annoying. Like I’m coming to chill and relax without harming people, there’s no reason to “prevent” me from enjoying an ice cream while sitting watching the beach, have dirty pools, offer bad coffee…etc. we had a good experience overall and I still enjoyed my time, but I might consider other options for my next trip to Malindi seeing that it didn’t provide value for money, especially that most hotels’ rates were around one third of this one (but didn’t have beach fronts, which is probably the reason why).

Rooms closer to the beach or pool area are especially enjoyable due to the views and easy access. The food selection was varied and enjoyable, with a mix of international and local Kenyan cuisine. Dining by the ocean added a nice touch to the overall experience. The pool area and beach setup are well-kept and offer plenty of space to relax. Overall, Diamonds Malindi is a great choice for travelers seeking a calm, scenic, and comfortable beachfront stay with friendly service and a relaxed atmosphere. It’s less about high-energy activities and more about slowing down and enjoying the coastal beauty of Kenya.

Die Fernsehverwandten sind der perfekte Ort, um in Kilifi zu bleiben. Das gesamte Personal ist sehr freundlich und macht Sie sich wie eine Familie fühlen. Meine Frau und ich kamen in der Saison, also, als wir um 04:30 Uhr angekommen waren, war bereits ein Zimmer verfügbar, obwohl unser check-in technisch nicht bis 12:00 an diesem Tag war. Mohammed in der Bar sorgte sich dafür, dass wir uns um jedes Mal kümmern, wenn wir etwas essen oder trinken wollen. Die Nahrungs- und Getränkepreise waren vernünftig, nach 5 Tagen haben wir nur etwa $100 USD verbracht. Der Pool war unser Lieblingspunkt, um sich zu sitzen und sich zu entspannen, während wir unsere Bücher lesen. Aber die Rezeption konnte uns auch helfen, einen Tuk Tuk in die Stadt und an die weißen Sandstranden zu rufen und das war etwa $10 USD runde Reise. Aber beachten Sie die Vervet-Affen, sie leben in den Bäumen um das Eigentum und sie stehlen Ihre Nahrung, wenn Sie sich noch einmal umdrehen! Die Toiletten außerhalb der Bandas sind komposierend, und das ist nicht für alle, aber sie haben traditionelle Wäschebads auch in der Nähe des Poolbereichs.

Schöne Lage, ausgezeichnete Zimmer mit großartigen Blicken auf den Ozean und Balkon mit Bett und Stühlen, die Sie sitzen und entspannen, während Sie den Ozean übersehen. Sehr sauber, nicht viel Sorte mit dem Essen und besonders begrenzte Auswahl, wenn Sie nicht essen Meeresfrüchte oder Fische. Service war sehr langsam, obwohl das Hotel nicht beschäftigt war. Sprichwort an den Manager, aber immer noch fand, dass der Service nicht verbessert. WiFi war nicht in den Zimmern arbeiten und es dauerte meist meinen Urlaub, bevor es gelöst wurde. Sie liefen meist aus den Kälten und auch wenn sie sich meiner Sorge bewusst waren, fühlten sie sich sehr bemüht, sie zu lösen. Ich würde nicht denken, dort noch einmal zu bleiben.

Me and my fiancé stayed there for 6 nights and it was magical. Excellent atmosphere excellent service. The place is sure clean. The foods delicious lots Of activities to do and things to see you have the beach right there within walking distance of your bungalow. They have a pool also if you don’t feel like going to the beach but I feel you’d be making a big mistake it’s amazing. Feeling that cool Indian Ocean water. You can see all kinds of birds and animals. It’s an absolute paradise. I’d easily gives this place a 10/10 and recommend it to anyone.

A nice resort in Watamu, with basically everything needed during your stay. The room is beautiful, spacious and comfortable, the view is beautiful, the breakfast buffet is varied, copious and delicious. Pro: nice environment, very friendly staff, helpful and gentle, loads of activities during your stay Con: everything is in euros and pricey (in Watamu) because most tourists are Europeans, so when I arrived and wanted to do laundry, I got shocked with the price. The bar’s prices are rather the same as in Europe too.

Pros: Beautiful hotel built with it's locality at heart. The Swahili architecture in the rooms especially is top notch. Big, clean rooms with views and balcony. Great staff, Amisi at reception and George at the restaurant were exceptional. Kilifi itself is beautiful so would visit again. P/s - if you can, please visit the spa! Cons: Food was average (buffet dinner and breakfast). These have great room for improvement.

Tutto sommato la struttura non è male, molto bella la piscina e anche la spiaggia attrezzata, c’è un campo da beach volley…anche la posizione è ottima. Da mangiare è ok… anche se c’è da rivedere qualcosa sopratutto nel variare i cibi e nel mettere frutta a disposizione… il personale è molto gentile. L’unica pecca è l’organizzazione per l’intrattenimento degli ospiti.. animazione quasi inesistente essendo un resort!

A beautiful hotel and grounds but just lacked life. There was no bar or restaurant for service around the pool and for the evening you had to preorder. The beach club attached to the  property was a great addition.
