Very clean and spacious rooms. Good service from the reception team. And highly recommended

This is very good for a 3-star hotel at the price charged, and the management has taken steps to rectify some of the problems mentioned in other reviews. My wife and I were in a standard twin room which has been recently refurbished. The room was simple but had new furniture, carpet and bathroom suite and was pleasantly decorated. The mattresses were comfortable. The buffet breakfast offered a good choice, but the sausages could have been of better quality. There was entertainment in the form of different solo vocalists every evening starting at 8.00pm. This was slanted toward an older clientele (centring mainly on coach parties), and many have limited appeal to younger customers. The bar prices were fairly average, with a 2 for 1 offer for the coach parties (not us). The big criticism many reviewers have of hotel internet has been addressed and there was good free internet in our room with a download speed in excess of 20 meg. There is no dedicated car park, but ample unresticted street parking all around the hotel, certainly at this time of the year. There is a rear hotel entrance adjacent to the coach car part that is only about 300 metres from the seas frong. The Babbacombe cliff railway is only a futher 100 metres away. Also close to this rear entrance is a Tesco Express. There are several restaurants and pubs within walking distance, as is Plainmoor, the home of Torquay United. We felt that the downsides were minor but some customers may miss having a room fridge or in room safe, and as mentioned the breakfast could be improved with quality sausages and grilled rather than tinned tomatoes. One oddity in our room was that a mains power outlet next to the tea/coffee tray had had a blanking plate fitted, when a 13 amp socket would have made it possible to use the kettle in that position (looks like a very easy fix if management read this).

If you are not sure where to stay - don’t waste any time looking elsewhere, I can 100% recommend staying at Arran Lodge. We were so impressed with how well we were looked after, a clean and kept room with everything you might possibly need, including a welcome treat - homemade cake, space to park the car outside the house, a welcome reception and the most wonderful breakfast choice! Die Lage ist gut für die Südwestküste. Zimmer komfortabel, aber die Qualität des Services, Essen und Trinken war hervorragend. Insbesondere Frühstücksmenü und Abendessen hatten eine breite Palette von lokalen Lebensmitteln, die über unsere Erwartungen hinaus gekocht und zubereitet wurden. Wein und Bier waren ebenso beeindruckend. Wir haben ein bisschen in Norddevon reisen und das ist ein Gestein eines Ortes.

What a gem! Stayed 1 night in this amazing accommodation after attending a wedding locally. Room and bathroom very clean, lovely cotton sheets, comfortable bed. Breakfast was included and was wonderful! Cooked options, cereals, toast, etc. Orders were taken and served by the waiter who was fun and quick to have a joke! The lady on reception was very friendly and helpful as were all the staff including the lovely cleaner who prepares the rooms. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it and would happily stay much longer and explore the local area. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay.

Great location just a short walk away from the pier and 10-15 min drive from Babbacombe. Clean, cozy rooms with nice shampoo, conditioner and shower gel provided. Fantastic, freshly made delicious breakfasts. Thank you Jonathan & Sade for such a pleasant stay!

這是第三次入住了，還記得10年前留學第一次和女朋友來的樣子，站在頂層河景房的陽台上看着英國少有的金色沙灘和河口景色。之後和父母也來了，這是我在英國住過的最有特色的房間，非常推薦頂樓的河景房。絕對物超所值。

Enttäuscht, dass es keinen Kühlschrank im Zimmer gab Aber die Sauberkeit war insgesamt gut Schöner Bademantel Toilette roch nach abgestandenem Urin Betten waren hart, ebenso die Kissen. Ich hatte zwei Nächte lang keinen erholsamen Schlaf Essen im Restaurant (3 Gänge) war reichlich und das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis war gut Insgesamt eine angenehme Unterkunft, weshalb ich auf die Rückkehr meines Mannes von seiner Operation gewartet habe Der Lebensmittelladen war eine gute Ablenkung, ebenso wie KFC Ms um die Ecke und Aldi Auch erlesene Weine Würde aber wieder hier übernachten

Reception could have been quicker especially with lots of customers as the queue was building up. Wifi access could have been clearly posted or communicated as there was no guidance on welcome brochure or notices.
