What a grand place. The lobby and restaurant were beautiful. Unfortunately, our room was tiny and quite poor. The whole building is poorly ventilated which made it quite uncomfortable due to the humidity. Not bad for the price. Have to pay extra to park as a guest, even though its cheap, ia pretty poor.

Three of us booked one room together. Upon arrival, we were told that we could not stay unless we paid an additional £165 to upgrade the room. However, even after the upgrade, the room was still quite small, and in my opinion, the overall value did not justify the price. Regarding check-out, we left at 12:20 instead of 11:00. We were only informed of the £30 late check-out fee when we arrived at the front desk, not in advance. I accept the charge, as we did check out late. However, what confused me was that since the hotel decided to apply a late check-out fee, this implies that the late check-out was accepted. In that case, cancelling our room key authorisation before we actually checked out was inconsistent and resulted in the three of us being locked in the corridor. Many people recommend this hotel, and we may consider staying again in the future. Next time, however, I will make sure everything is handled strictly according to the rules. On a positive note, the hot spring and sauna facilities are very good.

Explorers Retreat Matlock Bath was a unique and fun experience! As a solo traveler, I loved the quirky cabins and the adventurous atmosphere. The staff were friendly and helpful, providing great tips on local activities. The cabin was clean and cozy, perfect for a solo retreat. The location was stunning, with easy access to beautiful walks and the charming town of Matlock Bath. While the facilities were basic, the overall experience was fantastic. It's a great choice for anyone seeking a bit of adventure and a taste of nature.

The check in was easy and clear instructions were provided about the facilities. Clean room with comfortable bed. Unfortunately there was no WiFi in the room that I stayed in and no mobile phone coverage on Vodafone for calls or mobile data. WiFi was available in the main building which had a bar and restaurant. The price of the room was very good.

Als meine Freunde und ich mit dem Zug aus verschiedenen Teilen des Vereinigten Königreichs reisen, war das Hotel ein einfacher Treffenplatz.. Wir alle fanden unsere Zimmer sehr sauber und,räumlich.. Das Personal es war extrem angenehm und hilfreich. Das Frühstück war großartig mit viel Wahl. Nichts wurde beschleunigt und alles in allem haben wir unseren Aufenthalt gründlich genossen

We stayed for one night in December and really like this hotel. Our room was clean, spacious and nicely decorated. The hotel and grounds are beautiful. We had dinner in the restaurant, which was very good (I recommend booking in advance, as it was busy on a Saturday night), and breakfast in the morning, also very good. We will be happy to return some time!

The hotel is conveniently located just a 1-minute walk from Derby Station, which is very helpful for travelers. However, the room was a little dark, and the lift was out of service during our stay, which could be inconvenient if you have luggage. The bed was too soft for our comfort, and it was difficult to adjust the shower temperature properly. Although it only takes a minute to reach the train station, it’s about a 20-minute walk to get to the main city centre. On the positive side, the check-in process was quick, and the staff were quite friendly and helpful.

Die Umwelt und die Gesundheit im Hotel sind sehr sauber. Die Wärme im Zimmer, das Warmwasser und die Wasserkraft sind sehr gut. Es gibt einen Fußweg in der Nähe des Hotels, der es bequem macht, auf den Berg zu gehen und die Sonne zu sehen 👍🏻

The room was spotless, well-appointed, and offered a perfect mix of comfort and modern amenities. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and I appreciated the little touches like complimentary water, toiletries, and fast Wi-Fi.

Das Zimmer war sauber, sehr bequem - extra Kissen im Schrank und Tee- und Kaffeemaschine - Nur M1 - also wenn Sie sehr bequem reisen. Das Frühstück war reichhaltig und gut gekocht - gute Wert. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und willkommen und wird sicher wieder bleiben.
