I’ll start with the highlight of our stay: the ski rental team at Yabuloni Hotel. Since rentals are included in the stay, we spent a fair amount of time with them, and they are truly world-class. Led by a charming and compassionate boss, the team of four （photo attached) is incredibly professional and approachable. They don’t just hand you gear; they perform thorough safety checks, ensure a perfect fit, and offer genuine tips for the slopes. They made our trip seamless and safe. They will be the reason why we will come back and stay here Unfortunately, the hotel itself doesn't live up to that same standard. The hallways are dimly lit and poorly ventilated, a theme that continues into the rooms. The biggest issue was the bathroom, a persistent, foul sewage smell made us feel like we are using a public toilet that has not been cleaned for years. If this is 5 star standard, i'm afraid they have to do much much better. To top it off, the reception staff felt poorly trained. Despite having plenty of people behind the desk, no one could answer basic questions about local attractions, slope openings, or even help us arrange a driver for dinner around the area. For the price point, they should think of how they can justify their service other than having a world class and helpful ski rental management team.

Das Zimmer wirkte deutlich kleiner als auf der Website, war aber für Alleinreisende ausreichend. Obwohl die Wasserflaschen täglich aufgefüllt wurden, blieben die schmutzigen Teetassen während meines viertägigen Aufenthalts unbenutzt und wurden nicht gespült. Ich musste sie im Badezimmer ausspülen. Der Mülleimer wurde täglich geleert, aber die Betten wurden nicht gemacht. Der Duschkopf war kaputt und schwer zu bedienen, und die Matratzenauflage war zu groß und rutschte ständig herunter. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Lage des Hotels war ungünstig, da es an einer stark befahrenen Hauptstraße mit Einbahnstraße und wenigen Ausweichstellen liegt. Taxis mussten daher erst ein ganzes Stück am Hotel vorbeifahren, bevor sie wenden konnten, um einen abzusetzen. Ein Nachteil bei der Nutzung von Didi's oder Taxis waren die unfreundlichen und ungeduldigen Fahrer. Während der Weihnachtszeit wurden besonders hohe Preise verlangt. Wir standen oft im Stau und mussten dann 2-4 km zurück zum Hotel laufen. Insgesamt war ich von der Stadt selbst enttäuscht. Viele Gebäude waren heruntergekommen und vernachlässigt, mit kaputten Fenstern und abblätternder Farbe, was mich an ********************* erinnerte. Die Straßen waren sehr schmutzig, und eine nahegelegene Schule verschlimmerte die Verkehrslage auf dem Weg zum und vom Hotel zusätzlich. Gerüchte, dass es über Weihnachten weniger voll sei und sich Harbin deshalb besser für einen Besuch eigne, stimmen nicht. Die Menschenmassen trübten das Erlebnis in der Sophienkirche, insbesondere die Influencer, die in lächerlichen Kostümen bei eisigen Temperaturen auf den Treppen und an den Ecken der Kirche posierten und so jegliche Fotomotive zunichtemachten. Die Stände und Läden rund um die Kirche waren sehr teuer. Ich besuchte einige andere Kirchen wie die St.-Aleksjew-Kirche und den Jile-Tempel, was sich absolut gelohnt hat. Die Höhepunkte meiner Reise waren das Wolga-Herrenhaus, die Barockstraße und die Songhua-Eisenbahnbrücke. Die Schneeskulpturen auf der Sonneninsel waren wunderschön, leicht zugänglich und nicht überfüllt. Es gab viel Platz, um durch den Park zu spazieren, im Schnee zu spielen und mit der Seilbahn über den Fluss zu fahren. Die Warteschlangen von der Sonneninsel-Seite sind nicht lang, aber auf der Harbiner Seite waren die Warteschlangen für die Seilbahn sehr lang. Danny's Beer in der Baroques Street ist ein absolutes Muss und bietet herzliche Gastfreundschaft, leckeres Essen und eine angenehme Atmosphäre. Es liegt 4,7 km von der Songhua-Flussbrücke entfernt und bietet gutes Essen zu sehr günstigen Preisen. Den Eisskulpturenpark und die Lichtshows habe ich aufgrund der dreistündigen Wartezeiten, des großen Andrangs und der Glätte nicht besucht. Der Tigerpark war eher mittelmäßig und größtenteils ärgerlich, da die Besucher die Tiger mit Fleischstreifen ärgerten, die diese nicht erreichen konnten – alles nur für ein Foto. Tierliebhabern rate ich daher von einem Besuch im Tigerpark ab. Ein großes Plus waren die öffentlichen Toiletten in der Nähe des Songhua-Flusses, die beeindruckend sauber waren.

After taking 5 hours Journey on a 40 seater public bus that cost me 100 yuan i arrived at a beautiful homestay run by family, the homestay is the 1st at the entrance of the village. Room is comfortable with huge bed and heated bed and floor, eventhou the bed is just a thin mattress (its call a Kang Bed) but i still can sleep soundly every night. Only things need to change is the toilet because our toilet bowl is right at the center so i cant shower or use the basin (no space to stand)😀 They provide toothbrush and disposable face towel only so you have to bring your own towel and toiletries. Restaurant, reception counter and living room are together, this is a place for the owner and all guests to have meal and gathering. You will see them all day at the living room. We also have some activities such as making tanghulu (fruits coated with syrup), making dumpling and just chit chat eating popcorn and frozen persimmon and pear. Food is so yummy, no need to eat outside because you can order from this homestay. Breakfast is free. Its a simple and healthy- plain porridge, bun and pickles. The northern people are not so much into sugary or fancy drinks, even like tea or coffees. plain hot water is what they had most of the time. Lunch and dinner you can choose from their menu. Few activities you can do in town such as walk around town and enjoy the beautiful scenery like what i did, i also took the sleight horse (200 yuan) to go to the national forest and also stroll along the river for sightseeing. If u want to have ski, snow mobile, tubing there are 2 private own mini park that you can go just by walking distance 5-15 minutes. There is a bigger park Rime Ridge, also known as Wu Song Ling, is a place in Harbin, China where you can see rime and snow scenery, and participate in winter activities this will cost 400 yuan. At night there will be campfire and singing at the village. You can join for free. Go for a walk at night to see lots of villagers selling foods by the road side. I also enjoyed experimenting the ‘boiling water thrown into the sky’ ..beautiful effect from the ice steam. Most important please bring extra cash incase the alipay not working you will still have money. There is no bank or atm machine in the village. Its all solely depending on online payment such as allipay/wechat. I have problem with my alipay payment and I didn’t bring much cash so i cant spend so much at the village. The homestay owner knew about my problem so she worry i dont have enough money to eat so she cook meals for me FREE.. such a nice person. God bless her 🙏🏼 I wish to come again with my family, and i will stay here

Ich weiß nicht, wie sehr ich den Mitarbeitern dieses Hotels für die besten Behandlung für meinen Geburtstag danken kann, vor allem durch die Erhöhung meines Zimmers mit einem Fensterblick und einem Bad-Dusch, vielen Dank, weil Sie mich gestellt gab mir einen Fensterblick, Ich sah Schnee fallen, im Geburtstag! Alles über das Hotel ist sehr lobenswert für mich: Lage (nahe der Central Street), Reinigung, Service und Einrichtungen! Ihre Dienste sind sogar über der Spitze, um mir Snacks für meinen Übernachtflug zu geben! Vielen Dank für die sehr schöne Erfahrung bei meinem ersten Besuch in Harbin! ^_^

Zum ersten Mal in Harbin: Wir haben drei Nächte im Hotel Habsburg verbracht, was eine gute Erfahrung war, und ich möchte sie gerne teilen! Zuerst haben wir eine Familiensuite gebucht, im 15. und 16. Stock. Die Raumtemperatur ist festgelegt, daher muss man die Fenster öffnen, um die Hitze abzuführen. Es gab zwei Luftbefeuchter im Zimmer, sehr gut! Außerdem war das Erhitzen von heißem Wasser sehr bequem und hygienisch; man konnte direkt eine kleine Flasche Mineralwasser einstecken, um sofort heißes Wasser zu bekommen, super! Im tiefsten Winter ist es doch angenehm, etwas Heißes zu trinken. Das Zimmer war groß, und der Sonnenuntergang über dem Songhua-Fluss vom Fenster aus war wunderschön. Direkt gegenüber befindet sich die Seilbahn 🚡, die zur Sonneninsel fährt. Zur Zentralen Straße sind es etwa 10 Minuten zu Fuß, und zum Morgenmarkt in der Hongzhuan-Straße ebenfalls! Das Hotel ist sehr günstig gelegen, unten gibt es bekannte Restaurants wie Shanhetun und Zaozuo, die auch sehr gut schmecken… Man kann problemlos zu Fuß zur Zentralen Straße, zum Denkmal und zur Sophienkathedrale gehen. Ein Taxi kostet etwa 10 Yuan Grundgebühr! Der Service war ausgezeichnet. Lieferungen wurden von Robotern direkt zur Tür gebracht, und die männlichen Angestellten am Eingang halfen alle beim Tragen der Koffer, man fühlte sich wirklich willkommen! Da wir zweimal gebucht hatten, wohnten wir in zwei verschiedenen Zimmern, die beide recht gut waren. Die Lage ist wirklich sehr praktisch, und beim Check-out bekamen wir sogar eine Tüte mit Harbiner Spezialitäten-Bonbons, sehr aufmerksam.

We love staying at Snow Village so much and decided to stay there for 4D3N. Chosen Xinfu Inn after long consideration. We are family of 6 with young kids so we prioritize a place where kids can enjoy playing snow to the fullest. The view was so nice. There is frozen river in front of the inn and a hill at the back of the inn with the snow slides made by the host with a nice landscaping. The host really helpful and treated us like their family-guest. Communication before the stay and during the stay was using WeChat and Google translate 😅. They helped to book bus from Harbin-Xuegu (Snow Village), pay direct to them (CN¥80 one way) using Alipay. They have 2 inns. The first room we booked was the new inn which around 800metres from the main inn. The new inn has modern kang bed and toilet but no play area and lawn to play snow, we have decided to move to the main inn and the host and hostess are happy to move us to the main inn. But the room in the main inn more traditional. The kang bed using old fashioned heating method - wood-burning-stove with bricks that retain the heat. It was very hot with just a layer of thick quilts. Feels like a hot sauna when laying on it. So we can't really sleep at night when the heat still ”fresh”, especially at the side of the bed where the wood is burned. If you sleep at the end of the bed it is much better. And for us personally with one layer of quilt the bed is so hard and not comfortable but it is good experience to live like the locals. The kids really love the snow slides built by the host at the back of the inn. Since we are Muslim, we informed the hostess to prepare food that we can eat - rice, eggs and tofu. The hostess all really understanding and always friendly and loves to play with the kids. The host helped took a nice picture of us with firework but we missed to have a picture playing hot water turned ice. The host helped to book a bus to Snow Town on the third day. Departed at 1pm and back to the Snow Village at 8pm. All the charted bus from Harbin or to Snow Town will come pickup at the front of the inn. Really convenient. We did not go to Wusonglin, instead we went to the local play area where we can play anytime anyday with only one time entrace fees. It just besides the new inn and there are skis, snowboard, snow mobile, ice skating and many mores. With kids, it is really recommended. We truly enjoyed staying at Xinfu inn and will come back in future maybe in other seasons to enjoy the view of the river.

Ich war von meiner Erfahrung im Grand Mercure Hotel sehr beeindruckt. Der gesamte Prozess von der Buchung bis zum Check-out verlief reibungslos. Sobald Sie die Lobby betreten, werden Sie von ihrem luxuriösen und modernen Einrichtungsstil angezogen. Das Personal an der Rezeption war sehr freundlich und der Check-in verlief schnell und effizient. Die Zimmer sind sehr geräumig, elegant eingerichtet und komplett ausgestattet. Die Betten sind sehr bequem und das Frühstück des Hotels ist abwechslungsreich, frisch und lecker. Besonders hervorzuheben ist, dass das Serviceteam von Zheng Zihao, Liu Yupeng, Wang Yudi und Zhang Yitong an der Rezeption des Hotels sehr professionell ist enthusiastisch. Es hat uns einen unvergesslichen Aufenthalt beschert und wir freuen uns darauf, beim nächsten Mal wieder hier zu übernachten!

Honestly, the photo they used seems to be AI-generated or at least edited, so don’t expect it to look THAT good. HOWEVER, with that said, it doesn’t defeat the purpose of how a hotel should actually operate. This is my honest review: ✈️ LOCATION: (10/10) - It’s literally less than 5 minutes away from “Harbin Taiping International Airport” (HRB). - There is also a street filled with small restaurants and grocery stores, just one minute away from the hotel. We recommend eating at 云姐: 金麦手擀面 (Sister Yun: Golden Wheat Hand-made Noodles) 👍🏼 💁🏻♂️ SERVICE: (10/10) - They are very transparent about the lack of English speakers, and the use of Translation apps. It was quite easy to communicate with the staff despite the language barrier, because they had a real-time convenient translation app. - The staff were very accommodating, and them smiling a lot helped ease any discomfort. There was also a free transportation service to the airport, and the driver was equally as friendly. 🧴 CLEANLINESS AND AMENITIES: (8/10) - Much like with the rest of Harbin, I LOVED their provided cosmetics, as they always have a scent of tea to them, and the feel is good. They even provided small delicious snacks. - However, the reason why I didn’t rate it the highest is because compared to other hotels, it’s not the most clean-looking. Don’t get me wrong, it was clean, but it wasn’t the whole “spotless and sanitized” look. There was also A BIT of an odour once you enter the room. Just a bit tho, not to the point of causing extreme discomfort. Plus, it’s only upon initial entry, it fades right after. 🍲 FOOD: (?/10) - I have no idea, because we didn’t try their food, sorry. We went out to eat 😭 🌸 VIEW: (10/10) - Much like I’ve said earlier as well, the Hotel is beautiful but not as pristine as it looks, because the front is now filled with shafts, etc. - However, I still rated it the highest because the view from outside our window, and to the left of the Hotel itself was beautiful (at least in the winter, during snow season, when we came). It was a vast plane field (corn field, I assume) filled with snow, and you get a clear view of the sunset/sunrise, as well as the Tower of the Harbin Airport. All in all, I’d rate the overall stay a 9/10. I wouldn’t hesitate recommending the Hotel to my friends, and my family and I would love to stay there again if we ever come back to Harbin ! ~

I had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. From the moment I arrived, I was treated with great hospitality by all the staff. On my first day at the restaurant, I mentioned that I am Muslim and avoid pork. What impressed me the most was that on the following days, the staff remembered my preference and proactively recommended which dishes were suitable for me. That level of attentiveness made me feel truly welcomed and cared for. The location of the hotel is also very strategic, making it easy to get around and explore the area. I would especially like to thank Mr. Lin and all the reception staff for taking such good care of me and my family. They were always helpful, responsive, and ensured that all our needs were met. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I would definitely recommend this hotel to others.

Its a small hotel without parking lot, located just at the side of the street. To reach the reception you need to face with stairs. Not so high but quiet challenging if you bring big luggage. Inside just a small receptionist. Check in was easy and fast, while waiting you can have coffee or china tea and cookies from the banquet. We booked family room, which is very spacious. Two double beds, a tent with toys. Its kinda cute though. The room facing the streets with a big windows, its lovely to watch snow falling outside. It has small fridge, electric kettle, and long sofa. Although I would be more glad if they provided small wardrobe to put our clothes. They only have hanging rack where we can put our coats and towel, which was definitely not enough. Anyway during our stay there, no one clean our room. They only made the bed but the floor still had hairs. But I'm too lazy to complaint. What I like about this hotel is they have washing machine and dryer that you can use for free (including the washing liquids). Also just besides the hotel there is a halal restaurant, very convenient, cheap and tasty. To the cathedral just a little walk around 10-15 minutes, and to the lake ard 30 mins.
