**Absolutely fabulous gem of a hotel – we’re already planning our return!** I’m almost reluctant to sing its praises too loudly in case we can’t get a reservation next time, but I simply cannot recommend The Ocean highly enough. This place is an absolute standout. From the moment you arrive, the service is exceptional. The team is warm, highly attentive, and genuinely approachable – every single member made us feel like valued guests rather than just another booking. They anticipated our needs before we even asked, and nothing was ever too much trouble. Breakfast was superb, with a wonderful selection to suit every taste and waistline. What really elevated it was the full table service – a lovely, touch that made the whole experience feel special and relaxed. The hotel restaurant is an absolute must. After scouting every other option in the area, we ended up eating there both nights of our stay because it was, without question, the best find around. The menu offers a fantastic selection, everything is cooked fresh to order, and every dish we tried was outstanding. The portions are generous yet perfectly judged – so much so that we sadly couldn’t squeeze in a dessert, though the menu looked every bit as tempting as the mains. The hotel itself has been decorated with real taste and care throughout. Our room was stunning – fresh, modern, and incredibly welcoming, while still feeling cosy and homely. It’s such a refreshing change from the usual tired, tacky seafront offerings; the team has clearly poured heart and soul into creating somewhere that feels both stylish and genuinely comforting. Overall, The Ocean is a superb find – one of those rare places that ticks every box and leaves you smiling from check-in to check-out. We will definitely be back next time we’re in the area. A Perfect Day at The Bedingfeld Arms! What a truly wonderful experience! From the moment we arrived, The Bedingfeld Arms delivered exactly what we were hoping for—and more. Nestled in a charming location, it felt like a gentle escape into the countryside, with just the right mix of warmth and ease. The food was absolutely delicious—fresh, well-prepared, and beautifully presented. We lingered over our meal, not wanting it to end! The rooms were just what we needed: cozy, comfortable, and thoughtfully appointed. It was so lovely to wake up refreshed and step out into such a peaceful setting. While some might wish for a slightly more “posh” or traditional pub feel—Tom did miss the classic old-world touches like dark walnut floors and the scent of oak smoke in the air—we both appreciated the light, airy ambiance and modern comfort. It’s clear The Bedingfeld Arms has found its own style, and it’s working beautifully. Altogether, it was a delightful, cheerful, and refreshing day, and we’re so glad we chose to spend it here. Everything from check-in to departure was perfect . The room was spotless with a big comfortable bed . We used the spa and pool which was all extremely clean with very polite staff at reception . This is our 3rd visit here and each time we’ve been very impressed Breakfast was very pleasant as were all staff .Vast selection of food and beverages for all dietary requirements . We enjoyed the full English breakfast that was cooked to perfection followed by some fresh pineapple / watermelon . We’ve stayed here a couple of times when we fly to UK and will continue to enjoy a weekend break here in the future .

Ein sehr warmes Willkommen von Mike, der das Gebäude verwaltet. Unser Zimmer wurde als Schatz der Brüste bezeichnet. Es war schön dekoriert, ein riesiges modernes Badezimmer mit Regenschlauch über dem oberen. Wir hatten am Abend ein Essen und obwohl wir vor der Ankunft nicht gebucht hatten und sie waren voll gebucht Mike hatte keine Frage, uns einen Tisch mit einem großen Blick auf die Broads zu finden. Wir würden in Zukunft sicher wieder zurückkehren. Die Atmosphäre des Pubs ist entspannt, aber sehr professionell. Kredit an den Chef. Eine Hochzeit fand am Tag der Ankunft statt, aber das hat uns keine Lärmprobleme verursacht und wir genossen, von der Ferne zu beobachten! Alle Mitarbeiter und Mike konnten nicht genug für uns tun und wir wurden eine späte Abreise angeboten, die wir nett akzeptiert. Scham, dass wir nicht länger bleiben konnten, sondern eine gute Entschuldigung für die Rückkehr! Vielen Dank, Mike und Team für Ihre außergewöhnliche Service. Modern hotel with a welcoming lobby and big reception area. Situated next to the Norwich City football stadium and some rooms overlook the pitch which is fun for football fans ! There is a big retail park across the road and it’s approx 10 minutes walk to restaurants, pubs overlooking the river and then just a few minutes further onto the main rail station . Rooms equipped with large beds and useful amenities which include hairdryer, tea and coffee facilities , iron and ironing board . Nice big modern room and our bathroom had a bath aswell as a shower . We had dinner in the restaurant but unfortunately the food wasn’t a high standard compared to the rest of the hotel . The staff were helpful though over this aspect .

Great stay, great facilities, loved the pool sauna and steam. Breakfast was fab too!

Beautiful hotel not far from city centre. Staff were lovely and welcoming. The room was large, with twin beds put together, which was unexpected with one duvet over both. I did expect separate twin beds, but it was ok. The hotel itself is full of history, including a knight. I called him Gerald. I would love to have been there longer than the one night so I could fully explore the hotel. We did not use the spa, and again, I would have loved to. We are likely to go back to fully experience what the hotel offers. Parking was easy, with plenty of spaces. Breakfast is buffet style plenty to choose from. No one shows you around just go and help yourself. We look forward to going back.

absolute must with children. stayed here to go to bewilderwood the following day and wow... so set up for kids, the food the lay out also had cheeky swim night before. brilliant *******

I stayed at The George Hotel in Norwich for a quick overnight stop and I was pleasantly surprised at how nice it was. Although I booked a super cheap deal for a single room, I was given a double room which was warm and comfortable. The location is easy to reach and it's about a 15 minute walk to the big shopping area in Norwich. The hotel staff were really attentive and friendly during check in and check out, they certainly made me feel very welcome and I wouldn't mind staying at The George Hotel again. They have an onsite restaurant called The Arlington Bistro which I would like to try as I didn't have a meal there during my stay. In summary, I can definitely recommend this nice, friendly hotel for everyone.

Good points are the cleaningness and the amenities such as the jacuzzi. Staying in September weekday was quiet. Bad points the strong smell in the apartment that seems to have humidity problems. The sofa was uncomfortable if someone plans to sleep there. Surroundings outside the complex are beautiful, there's a path on the top car park. Parking was very limited on the top.
